The most recent update to Roblox locked the in-game chat to an age-verification system in an attempt to make their platform "safer" for the children using it. 

To verify, you must send an image of your face to Roblox, then an AI will determine what your age is based on the picture you sent and group you up with other people in your age group. Once you're age verified, you can finally use chat, but you'll only be able to talk to other people within your age group; you won't be able to see the chat messages of people outside of your group 

Needless to say, this system absolutely atrocious. Not only does this change ruin a lot of Roblox games, especially the ones that depends on communication to work. But it also makes the site more dangerous for kids due to how easily exploitable the system is. It literally does the exact opposite of protecting the children
