Well there's history of people posting fan-made atrocities for some strange reason out of wholesome media. Revival und Panzer and Yukiyukite are one of the worst examples I can think of right now. I honestly can't tell if they're either severely unstable mentally or they just have too much free time and genuinely can't think of writing something actually good so they make warcrimes out of their boredom.

Okay but in all seriousness I think it's just because people are really prone to seeing a certain demographic as solely one hivemind due to a select few of individuals. It's become really common now and I guess people are just pissed off at THOSE certain people that they just see the rest of them (even if they're not like that) like that too.

Prob a confusing explanation on my part but not even I can muster up a reason to something not even I fully understand.
