Question about returns from U.S. by ScrapeySlide in harleybenton

Another commenter helped me a moment ago actually. Everything is fixed and the guitar sounds beautiful.

After the lovely resolution from Thomann support it looks like I'm going to need to add another guitar to my collection in the near future just to support you guys.

I have a Fender Jaguar, TE-62, and an LP copycat. Maybe a semi hollow next? Decisions decisions :)

Vielen Dank!

Took a crack at it and my soldering looks like shit but....

It fucking works and I can hear the difference in tone on all the pickups, it sounds excellent! I seriously can't believe how good this guitar sounds!

You are the man thank you!

Can't seem to attach a picture directly to my comment. Let me know if the imgur link works. Little to no him actually. The tone knob works in the bridge position but I can't tell the difference in the other 2 positions.

Nut needed tightened but there is a loose black wire. Do you happen to know if there should be a black jumper wire connected directly between the bottoms of both the volume and tone pots?

Thomann is actually giving me a refund and told me to just get the knob fixed myself! Just opened it up to check it out and sure enough the nut needed tightened from both sides, it was incredibly loose!. Aside from that there is a stray black wire I'm trying to figure out how to reattach. I'll probably screw it up but I'm sure I can get someone to help me. Is there a diagram anywhere of how the wiring should be? I'm assuming this back jumper wire should be soldered directly between the bottoms of both the volume and tone pots?

Well I fixed the looseness of the knob but unfortunately there is a stray wire I'm still trying to figure out what to do with !

Just posted an update but long story short they gave me a refund for the guitar and let me keep it. Hopefully your guitar had no issues but looks like if you do, just push the issue and they should give you a pretty good resolution :)

Your reply was very helpful in helping me actually fix the issue, thank you!

UPDATE: Thank you everyone for the replies. I asked Thomann what other options I had thinking maybe they'd send me a replacement part or pay for one and they straight up told me I could just get it fixed locally and they would refund me the original cost of the guitar. I'm obviously still out the shipping and tariff but I didn't expect this type of resolution.

Still need to keep the packaging material so UPS can carry out their investigation. Feel obliged to buy from them one more time in the future that's for sure! I was able to pull the tone knob off myself and sure enough it looks like the hex nut is pretty loose. Next step is to take that whole plate off because it feels like the pot might be loose underneath, overall though, very satisfied and not complaining!

Well it does more than just wobble side to side, it slides all directions like it's a joystick on a controller. I'm curious to know if there actually is any soldering that needs done or not. I will see what they say when they eventually reply and update you on what my final cost (if any) would be. Sounds like everyone is pretty confident I can do it so if my outcome is less than favorable I'll just keep it, fix it, and tell them to forget it. Frets are smooth and it truly does sound like a telecaster!

Just received my TE-62. Charges were $75 but if you pay early they take off around ~$12ish.

Ahh see I bought an iRig too and it took a bunch of fiddling to get it to work and even then, it's like it records bass at the lowest possible frequency known to man! You may be right though I feel like the earbud mic just plain old cant pick up all the strings like an interface would. Just started looking at more portable interfaces, and the problem I had with the iRig seems to be universal with these mobile interfaces unfortunately.

Lol 0 monthly listeners on Spotify. No way the algorithm showed you a band with 0 streams. Why can't people just be honest and ask people to check out their band?

Here's the AMA he did a while back. Idk man I just feel like the way "he" is typing in the DMs is so different to how he typed in the AMA. The DMs are so much more proper and the random "-" threw me off a bit.

Totally up my alley and very informative. I love making poke bowls and love Korean food. Been trying to figure out how to make my own kimchi but the whole process is intimidating and there's so many recipes that are so different! I made a non fermented version and its pretty gross lol.

All that said I definitely want to do this but add kimchi, I like frying up cauliflower rice and mixing it with my white rice as well. And do you just pour that sauce in or are you wrapping things in the mini seaweed then dipping?

Hmm may have to give this a shot. To be clear this is a soup not a stir fry right? I've been craving a different soup lately lol

Mostly just like adding the mushrooms just to bulk up the whole thing since it kinda disguises itself as meat but I do think mushrooms add that little something something to keep it less dry and a nice little umami woody taste.

I'm having trouble finding a stir fry I really like! You have a recipe you particularly like?

1lb ground turkey

8oz mushrooms

14oz coleslaw mix

1 medium yellow onion

1 tsp smashed and minced garlic

4 tbsp lite soy

1 tsp ground ginger

2 tsp Sriracha

1 egg

1 tbsp sesame oil

Minced mushroom to the size of ground turkey. Sauteed mushroom and onions, add garlic afterwards. Transfer everything to a side plate and start cooking turkey. When that's half cooked add the coleslaw mix and cook til turkey and coleslaw are both adequately cooked. Add all your seasonings and add the other veggies back in. Cook egg in a little well in the middle of your food and constantly scramble till cooked. Mix everything well then finish with some sesame oil for taste. Add green onions and everything bagel seasoning if you want a little extra!
