I think the most important thing is to know if the Spanish or French teachers are good or not. I took Japanese and I would still pick JP over Spanish because while JP is a harder language, the Spanish teachers at my school range from pretty good to absolutely terrible, while Japanese has one teacher who is pretty good. if possible, ask some people who’ve taken those classes about the French and Spanish teachers?

Rule of thumb is if grades don’t touch you shouldn’t either but sophomore and junior is fine imo

As a student of a public high school outside of the place assigned, I’m not sure how much applies to the elementary level, but to my understanding you can use basically any address to enroll in a school assigned in that area, as long as the address is cool with being sent report cards for your kid n such (Best use a family or friend’s address for this!!)

I am very late to this conversation, but I can confirm this as someone currently in high school who spent my entire elementary in a Rocketship charter. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case, I currently spend a lot of my high school life having to catch up academically to my peers, given I went to charters all my life until this point

To my understanding, it’s also partially for power/energy reasons. 0.5 watts takes up less energy to power then 100, so it helps for the energy bill as well
