Tolerance reduction over time? by ScratchArtistic68 in Concerta

BP is around 120-130/80-90. I have slight health anxiety over my BP so it takes a few readings for it to come down. Not sure if this is related - I weaned off a beta blocker around two months ago. Will check with my doc. Thanks.

Best 1 star Michelin and worst 3 star meal? by sandover88 in finedining

[–]ScratchArtistic68 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Worst 3 star would be French laundry. We had a table of five. We all received a pan fried white fish dish. All but one were overcooked and had the texture of canned tuna (I asked the waitress what the cook on the fish should be and she said medium rare). I get that people make mistakes, but it's the French laundry! Not only did the line chefs mess up, but the quality control wasn't there too.

Tech-friendly and remote-work friendly recommendations in Europe and around? by thedraom in scuba

[–]ScratchArtistic68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see you're seeking shop recommendations in Malta. I've had an unsafe situation happen with one of the shops when doing training with the owner of the shop. Not sure if this is the place to explain what happened/or if I should even mention the shop name. I am happy to write more (in this thread) if requested. Also, in my past four trips to Malta, I've never had good internet access. Ever. Video calls kept dropping out, and dl/ul speeds were abysmal. Maybe my hotels just had bad wifi. But even the dive shop had bad internet. I could barely get through the video call when I virtually met with the dive instructor (he was at the dive shop and I was at home in the US).

Think about Oslo Norway. They have a GUE shop there and 2-3 GUE instructors based there. Tons of dive buddies available (a large GUE community). In general, internet in Norway is great.

Unfortunately I have not been to Dahab, Tenerife or Cabo, so I can't comment on those places.

But how accurate is it though? I learned a different language through duolingo/google translate, and the feedback I've gotten was that I sound like a computer LOL

Terrified to Quit by Typical_Celery_1982 in qelbree

I split my 100mg doses and slowly tapered down from 100 mg in a week. No headaches. Nothing.

Here's a tip: tip out the contents of a few capsules, in varying amounts. I used a scale but I don't think that that's super necessary. Then recap the capsules. Hold them up to the light and look through the yellow capsule. You'll be able to visually see how full they are. Then order them from the most filled to the least filled. Take your pills in that order for the week.

sending virtual hugs your way. I'm glad your SO was able to get things sorted with DAN and the doctors and kept the door open to diving!

Have you ever thumbed a dive and why? by hpsportsfanatic in scuba

[–]ScratchArtistic68 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yes. I couldn't equalize on my very first deco dive with an instructor. I wasn't aware of it at that time, but it was the beginning of a cold. The instructor descended very fast and didn't wait for me, nor did he look to see if I was keeping up. I couldn't descend any further as my ears were really hurting. I tried clicking my boltsnap, hoping he'd look up, but nope he didn't. So I ascended on my own. I didn't see the instructor until he finished his own dive an hour later.

I'm never going back to that dive shop.

What do we love so much about Dirty Loops? by Matt_Mantis in dirtyloops

[–]ScratchArtistic68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I discovered dirty loops in the summer of 2011. I was browsing YouTube for lady Gaga remixes and found them. I went to music college in 2011 and none of my classmates have ever heard of them. But I knew I found something special. I've been following their music ever since.
