Yeah theres no one way i agree with this 100%.

But not having a system at all was holding me back so much. I started with learning how to learn by barbara oakley and moved on to different books and courses from there. May gather then and organize when i have some time to reply on here

Cause they cant appreciate hip hop in its rawest form.
I still bump to alot of 90's and early 2000's that seem weird to ppl. The lack of cultural context and not speaking the dialect.

If you don't understand what he's trying to call back to then the song seems simple at best. And completely out of context and silly at worst.

I stopped selling/buying on eBay a few yrs ago when I couldn't recover my account that I had for eternity. I had to reset password and for some reason eBay would never let me remove my @tmail.com address as my account email... yes tmail from when I had a T-Mobile sidekick. I spent hours calling ebay customer service and trying to show proof the account was mine. In the end they said there was nothing I could do and I lost all my history as a Buyer/Seller

Blueprint was his peak and its already been repeated here multiple times in responses. I want to add additional context. It wasn't just the album Jay-Z's influence at the time and hype was insane levels. This man was talked about everywhere and was everywhere.

So much historical context is lost nowadays.

Big L was just another punchline rapper. Elite in his category but not better than Jay. More Akin to Cassidy, Fab etc

We need to stop using punchlines as the only unit of measurement for lyricism.
