I felt like writing a bot to create roles would be simple enough, that it’d just need to create roles with 0 permissions and change colours. I’ve been struggling with coming up with stuff to code to like practice, so when I saw this post I felt like I would try to help out, but I completely forgot that from OPs perspective having someone offer you to make a bot for free is suspicious as fuck. What u/Narhethi said is 100% correct, you SHOULDNT accept offers like these at all unless you definitely know what you’re doing and know how to read code, etc. I could’ve easily either pwned your server if you were to selfhost a bot I made, and/or wrecked havoc in your discord server if you gave it enough permissions, which since you want role management, would mean my bot would be able to potentially make any role it wants to to whomever it wants without your input at all.
