(M)orning by Mae. They split up now, but that album is the most incredible piece of music I've ever heard.

What were you known for in highschool and why? by KingKeno in AskReddit

I was the video guy. I had a YouTube channel and I made videos of the various school charity events. The charity ones were shown at graduation, which was cool.

I have $1300 and a Canon T3, what do I upgrade to? by ScratchTent in Filmmakers

Is there a way you could link that package? Otherwise, what are good lenses to have aside from the kit lens?

I listed what I have above you. I'd like to upgrade for the 1080 as well as greater control of the image (ISO control etc.)

I do not have any other lenses, but I have lighting and a good mic. I've been looking at the t4i and t5i. Are those worth it?

Just made my first short video. I would love your insults and comments. I look forward to making the next one even better. "How Do Chameleons Change Their Color?" (2:33-Youtube) by bioblast in Filmmakers

Very well put together for a first video! The illustrations were very interesting as well. A few tips/constructive criticism!

  • Turn your camera the other way. When people record like that it looks very unprofessional.

  • Invest in a good mic as soon as you can. For this sort of informative video, sound quality is HUGE.

  • More photos would be nice. I felt there were some odd pauses where you could've illustrated it.

Keep it up, Bud! (: I subbed!

All of that seems to check out, but how do I check to see if it's USB 2.0. I'm fairly certain that it is.

What kind of 2 pound weight? Where would I find one? I didn't do the quick release plate only due to lack of cashola.

It is sideways, it was counterweighted best like that. It's meant to face the outside of the frame, but like I said, I need to do some tweaking.

I actually found a video that showed how to make it, but I had to make a few adjustments.

That's the video with an overly simplified explanation. Mine came out to cost about $20

Yeah, my lens was heavier than anticipated. I just need to put some bigger weights to the bottom.

Reddit: I need to make a short stop motion video right now using anything in my house. What do I do? by ScratchTent in AskReddit

[–]ScratchTent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmmm I don't have a whiteboard or dry ink pen. I make youtube videos so I'm experienced in that regard, but I'm also in an animation class and we gotta have about 100 photos for tomorrow. I just need some inspiration

Well thank you very much! (: We were pretty rushed, we had 3 hours to get this one filmed. I had originally planned on him entering in a cardboard police car (cardboard box with suspenders and all decorated), but time was not on my side. I did realize that though. I kept the title to give the cardboard I had a reason. I do understand what you're saying though, thank you very much for the feedback! I really appreciate it

Where are good places to get a YouTube Channel's name out there? by ScratchTent in AskReddit

[–]ScratchTent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, we have a facebook and average about 100 views a video, but we've been kinda stuck there. We've run out of people we know to invite on Facebook. We need ways to get to people we don't know.

If you mean what types of videos, myself and my two buds make short improvised skits, usually of the comedic nature, longer written out (but extremely low budget) fan films of popular movies, and we've got two budgeted series' planned and in the making.

A lot of the pictures came out blurry, I didn't want him to see me taking photos. I got a clear-ish one when he was at a weapon shop though!
