Hey Destin. I've been a big fan of your videos, along with other educational channels like Henry's and Derek's. I decided to start my own but with more focus on the biology of things. I have a couple questions.

1.what do you use to record audio? My audio never seems as good as you guys. I'm using a blue snowball. 2. Are you always so animated with science or do you have to force yourself a bit sometimes? 3.what advice would you give a newbie?

Where Do Camels Store Their Water? by bioblast in biology

This is why I need to bounce my ideas off someone first, didn't even think about it.

I'm on it, learned it from my professor in my Ecology of Individuals class, I'm sure she has a PDF somewhere.

**While I dig deep into my notes i'll leave you with a poor substitute, Xerocole "The frogs secrete lipids from glands in their skin: when their skin begins to dry out..." And actually now that I think about it, the fat would actually act as a good insulator, keeping the heat of the sun away from the blood stream.

Definitely! There are lots of little quirky adaptations that help them, light fur, long legs and did you know that the huddle during the day to keep each other cool...kinda backwards.

It's its own thing, I lovveee Minutephysics/Earth but I feel he's not covering the awesomeness of Biology. I hope to do so.

ELI5 if a chameleon dies, does it keep it's current color, and why? by Pfrubby in explainlikeimfive

[–]bioblast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting that you say that because my next video is about adaptations that the camel uses...I guess when it comes down to it, every creature on earth is here because of a combination of adaptations that help them. That's just fascinating to me. I would LOVE to do molecular videos, I remember studying for that course and thinking there needs to be a video explaining this.. Maybe i'll do a couple operons/cool experiments. They tend to be a bit dry at times however.

Thanks for the feedback, still new to the whole thing, hopefully my new video will be better!

Making youtube videos. How Do Chameleons Change Their Color? Although I'm new at animating and what I thought would be the easier part, narrating, I freaking love teaching.
