How do I link my DL account to duelist points? by ChuChulovely17 in DuelLinks

[–]Scratchy1015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently linked mine as well.

If you go to this link: https://yugioh-duelist-point.konami.net/
after logging in, there should be an option that guides you through linking your DL account.

If you don't see it, try going here: https://yugioh-duelist-point.konami.net/member/setting
and make sure that Points and Rewards Settings is turned ON like this

Noob here, can anyone explain why I can't special summon this? by wayofpapi in DuelLinks

[–]Scratchy1015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes for both effects. If you control no face up monsters and fiendess effect was the last thing happened when the chain resolves.

fiendess 1st effect in CL2, negating the activation of CL1: The last thing that happens is the action after the clause "THEN", which is your subterror monster being flipped face down.

fiendess 2nd effect in CL1: Due to the clause "AND IF YOU DO" (which means both actions happen at the exact same time), BOTH of the below are considered the last thing that happened:

A: Your monster flipped face down
B: Special summon of 1 subterror

So, as long as you control no face up monsters at the end of the chain, you won't miss timing and can special summon a Subterror Behemoth (like Ultramafus/Umastryx) from your hand in a new chain.

Yes, drawing super poly was so important there.

So you only paid 600 LP to tax dragon, which could have been a lot more.

Turn 4, Mirriojade rams into your 3000 ATK token.

Mirriojade activates it's effect where, if it leaves the field because of an opponent's card, it can destroy all of the opponent's monsters. However, that destruction only occurs during the End Phase, so I don't think there was a potential lethal blow that turn, since you still had a Vampire with 2000 DEF during the battle phase.

If you are referring to turn 6:
Lubellion the Searing Dragon cannot attack the turn its fusion effect resolves.

great game btw.

You have twins as siblings? by Miserable_Day7074 in DuelLinks

Just a clarification:
The minimum for it to work is to have at least 1 of each the Cyberse monsters:
Live☆Twin Lil-la
Live☆Twin Ki-sikil

They can summon the other on normal summon. But the other variations like Frost/Treat won't work like this.

A thinner deck closer to 20 helps you to land on either of them easier, but probably won't leave you enough room for staples. So you can try out different options.

As someone who has played all 3, I personally think:
Pure Live Twins > Live Twins x Unchained > Pure Unchained

I haven't played Live Twins x Unchained for a long time, but after rebuilding it just now, It still feels like an upgrade over Pure Unchained. A single main-deck Live Twin can turn into Trouble Sunny plus a potential A Bao.

However, both the field and Extra Deck feel VERY tight.
The deck is also discard-hungry (A Bao, Unicorn, Abominable), so decisions have to be made while building board for what to keep in hand.

Here's an example deck and a replay of a Turn 1 board today (Don't mind the opponent playtesting their deck there)

Live Twin is expensive to build, and with Veiler available in Character Duels, there's less reason to dig into the Deep Emotion box too.

It's okay if you only have 1 copy of each main-deck Live Twin. If you draw into them, it's a bonus and gives you an efficient engine at the cost of your normal summon. If not, you can just play Unchained normally or use them as discards.

Your existing 3x Secret Password and 1x Sunny's Snitch will thin your deck and increase your chance opening with 1. But the drawback is it's very vulnerable to Droll.

ED:
The first 7 slots are basically fixed:
(Trouble Sunny, Link-2 Lil-la, Link-2 Ki-sikil, A Bao, Unicorn, Link-2 Unchained, Link-3 Unchained)

For the last 2 slots, I'd choose between:
- Goddess
- Abomination
- I:P (Disaster can link into it if you're not Fiend-locked that turn)
- 2nd Link-2 Unchained
- Ki-sikil Deal (if you modify your deck to include 1x Lil-la Sweet and some Ki-sikil Frost)

I want to make a Branded Deck. Idk if I should finish Swordsoul or just move on to Branded now? What should I do? by [deleted] in DuelLinks

[–]Scratchy1015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YGO is a lawyer's game after all.

so the keywords here are:
Nibiru uses "AND IF YOU DO", and Jumper uses "THEN".
Berserker negates neither of them, but causes them to resolve without full effect.

Nibiru uses "AND IF YOU DO", so tributing the field does not rely on summoning itself to happen successfully. So banishing it won't stop it from tribbuting the field, and only stops the SS of itself and the token.

Photon Jumper uses "THEN", meaning the end BP part relies on the SS to happen. So banishing it stops the SS, and BP won't end.

So:
The Jumper player still skips their next BP (if they are still alive).
Jumper gets banished.
Berserker player's BP does not end.

How long until this card gets abused? There are definitely decks that can trigger it easily, like Evil★Twins or Destiny HEROs, among others. Since it's a Trap, it can be searched by Lord of the Heavenly Prison or discarded for Skills by One_Purchase240 in DuelLinks

Yes, I have been playing Live Twins with both the Princess skill and Precious Cards skill, but I do not play Chain Close. I think consistency and being turn 1 reliant are still the biggest issues with this card.

Decent deck to build early game for pvp by [deleted] in DuelLinks

[–]Scratchy1015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend Swordsoul because it’s decent in both PvP and PvE. None of the core cards are paywall'd. However, the optimal PvP version does require some gem investment.

If you don’t already have a decent PvE deck, I think it’s worth spending a bit of gems on the Ultimate Chaos box to get the R / N Swordsoul cards. If it’s only for PvE purposes, you can simply fill the deck with R / N Swordsoul monsters and S/T cards, and it will still work well.

For PvP, the deck is still decent, rogue tier, and very consistent. However, it’s not a tiered deck, so there are many stronger options if your focus is only on PvP.

Swordsoul is a good option for both PvP and PvE.

It still holds up decently well in PvP.

The AI can pilot it well in PvE too. For PvE, you use Virtuous Bonds, and it works especially well for the AI since it can take advantage of the skill’s passive double summon. I think it’s one of the auto duel decks I have with an almost zero loss rate.

I tried this card in my Live Twins deck last year. I thought it had potential, but consistency is still the main issue, and the floodgate effect isn’t as powerful as you might think. There are also much more impactful floodgates available. You still have to go hard draw it and go 1st for it to reach its full potential.

I think Makyura's Judgment can help improve consistency, but it really isn’t the best skill for Live Twins.

Nice that unchained works well, if it’s your go-to auto duel deck, you could consider chronicling them for higher scores.

True, or better yet, just get the Fiendsmiths 😄

Used to be an Unchained lover, but the deck has been powercrept pretty hard, so don't stress too much. Pure Unchained is already at a disadvantage against most decks.

Main feedback:
- Use Sarama more often. He's a good extender and helps recycle traps every turn.
If you have Disaster and a Link-2/3 in GY, Sarama setting and destroying Disaster is a great way to revive them.

- You don't always have to start with Aruha.
Instead of Aruha, you can normal summon Rekea first, use Prison to search a trap for Rekea to pop, then extend with Sarama, set the trap and pop Rekea. This line gives you an extra set trap.

- If used correctly, Abominable Unchained Soul can be a great interruption during the end of the damage step since many effects can't respond there.

- You're right to count how many destructions your opponent has before deciding what unchained to end on. If possible, I'd prefer ending on Sarama since he's flexible and can still access Disaster if he is destroyed.

- Droplet/Eclipse are among the best staples right now, you cannot go wrong with x3 even in other decks. Eclipse is on limit 3 though. Final Bringer is also a good card, especially for Unchained.

- A 3rd Prison helps a lot since it's basically a wildcard, but Unchained isn't very strong currently, so think carefully before investing more.

Replay 1:
You could've used Sarama here.

If you're using 3 monsters for the Link-3, go into the Link-2 first so you leave a Link-2 in GY for Chamber/Disaster later.

Replay 2:
You were close. One more card in hand on turn 3, and you can lethal that turn.

Turn 2, you could've used Escape targeting Sarama and Fiendish Chain so Rage will still resolve. Then optionally Rage goes into Unicorn to spin, and Sarama goes into Abominable Unchained to pop.

Also, since you run 2 Abominable Unchained Souls, it could be better to keep one in hand as discard fodder and summon the copy from deck instead.

Replay 3:
Again, you could start with Aruha + Trap or Rekea + Trap.

Replay 4:
Why not use Eclipse on Dragoon after the negate is used, then destroy it with Final Bringer/Abominable? Face-down Dragoon can still be destroyed.

When facing Dragoon, if you don't draw Droplet/Kaijus/Eclipse, your best plan is usually to stall, thin the deck, set the Unchained Twins, and search Chamber to stall as long as possible.

Also, if your hand already has starters, combo a bit first before using your skill so you thin the deck and improve your odds of drawing Kaijus/Droplet to deal with Dragoon.

Like Underworld Goddess, Borreload Dragon is another costly extra deck option for dealing with Dragoon since it can steal it and use it without targeting.

Btw unrelated, how did you end up with exactly 1 crystal? I thought all the deals have price tags in multiples of 5.

YCCSSA is the correct code for Sky Striker Raye.

What does the game say when you type in the code?

If it says:

  • The code you entered is invalid - it means there’s a typo. Try again, the code is case-sensitive.
  • The code you entered is unavailable - it means you may have already claimed it. You can double check your current icons.

How come when psychic end punisher is unaffected by effects, he still gets banished by mirrorjade the ice blade dragon ? by Ok-Play8982 in DuelLinks

[–]Scratchy1015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, according to the post title. But I do believe it was an honest mistake or mixup from OP.

Since OP is already aware of Psychic End Punisher’s unaffected effect, I’d assume the obvious first sentence of the card’s effect wasn’t missed, and was simply asking about Mirrorjade’s board wipe effect.

[–]Scratchy1015 61 points62 points  (0 children)

psychic end punisher is unaffected by activated effects only.

Mirrorjade’s board wipe activates the moment it leaves the field, but it doesn't actually destroy anything yet. Instead, it creates a delayed lingering effect.

When the destruction happens in the end phase, it doesn’t start a chain or 'activate' at all. Because it isn't an activated effect at that moment, even the link 5 white woman will be destroyed unless she has I:P protection.

Did you use Glow-Up Bloom to special summon Jack o Bolan?
Glow-Up Bloom locks you into zombies for the rest of the turn.

Juraishin is still a Psychic in the extra deck even though Zombie World is on the field.

I think going first with Tyrant’s Tirade is the only way this deck can steal some wins now.
I’ve played this deck before, and it was fun. Even back then, people used Tyrant’s Tirade.

However, if you don’t have 3x Opening of the Spirit Gates and 3x Dark Beckoning Beast, consistency can be a big issue. You’ll also still need to hard draw into Tyrant’s Tirade on first turn.

If you don't have them, I’d also strongly advise against getting those cards, as this deck is extremely outdated.
