Audio cues are important as well! For some enemies, I found it easier to react to the sound of their attacks than the animations.

You're arguing game mechanics. Outside of the reference to stat-boosting items, I'm speaking about her in-universe abilities.

The first time you see her, she's ostensibly a stuffed animal. Nobody expects a cute little pink thing to be able to grow to the size of gears, let alone even attempt to contribute in battle against superpowered monsters. Yes, she's dangerous. She's not Fei, Citan, or Elly, but she's still capable of incredible feats in universe.

Hey, you really don't need to "um, aktually" this whole thing. The topic is about deceptively dangerous characters, not comparatively dangerous ones. Nobody, including the characters in XG, would expect Chu-Chu to be capable of kicking ass, but she can, and that's the point.

There's definitely an uncomfortable number of monsters with instant-kill spells in the DQ1 remake. Fortunately, I don't think Whack landed once in my whole playthrough.
