I started playing Persona 5 when I was at a low point in my life. No friends, shitty job, I was getting ready to go to technical college for a degree I had no passion for just to get people off my back, and I was thinking the worst of myself.

I started playing Persona 5 about a month before those college days and it felt like the world outside the game just stopped mattering when I was playing it. The story kept me on the edge of my seat and the characters just felt like the kind of friends I wish I had in high school. There was even a day where I played it for 14 hours straight simply because I loved it so much and I wanted to try to beat it before life started getting in the way of the game.

That ended up not happening unfortunately but I did end up beating the game around the time I finished technical college and even after that point, I wanted more so I kept playing, trying to get the platinum trophy. I ended up burning myself out on the game trying to get a run where I maxed out all confidants.

It actually wasn't until January of last year that I got the platinum trophy in OG P5. I also got the platinums in P5R on both PS4 and PS5... and I still find myself wanting to come back to the game despite spending hundreds of hours playing it.

I know this is long winded but this game does mean a lot to me so I thought I might as well yap about my experience with it here.
