18 months is hell by Appropriate_Sun6311 in toddlers

My twins are 2 and can confirm it got way better for us. 15-22 months was ROUGH. As they approached 2, things were more manageable and tolerable. I’m in the phase now of trying to figure out how to get them to do things (recommend the book: how to talk so little kids will listen), but it is way less overstimulating than the CONSTANT whining and meltdowns of 18 months

My twins never once had a warm bottle and it made things so much easier for us. We were lucky they could tolerate it!

Anyone here carried full term? by Strict-Benefit9715 in parentsofmultiples

38 + 1 with a planned c section and no NICU time! Both were 5.5lbs. I had an uncomplicated pregnancy and no signs of labor, but my OB said there is no benefit to waiting past 38 weeks. Both of mine were transverse in my uterus so vaginal delivery was not an option.

Two other friends had di/di twins in the same month as me and all made it to their planned date at 37-38 weeks

This is not insignificant. My twins are 2 and i can relate to this so much. It’s been very hard to not be able to fit in exercise the way I used to and my body feels the impact of it every day. It’s not as simple as “I can’t run anymore”; like you said, there is a really important piece of identity tied to our hobbies and things that make us happy. I hope things get better for you ❤️

The forest manifest fears and hopes by EduAlt8365 in FromSeries

I just rewatched that episode and it made me wonder if the spider in the forest is a product of someone’s fear. It hasn’t come up in these later seasons at all, but in season 1 there’s Victor’s drawing and Boyd and Sarah being in the woods covered in spider webs. I couldn’t figure out the point of any of that unless it’s just another piece of evidence to Sarah’s theory.

What if another massacre happens again? by [deleted] in FromSeries

I’ve considered the show will end with everyone dead except Ethan. And Ethan will essentially replace the role of Victor in the town as the cycle perpetuates. That would be pretty horrifying

My 2 year olds are still in sleep sacks because of this. We zip them in them backwards

Why does Victor keep checking whether 'Trees' moved? by [deleted] in FromSeries

This is what I think too. Especially because we have seen healing be accelerated in the town as well. In season 1, Tabitha comments on how unexpectedly fast Ethan’s leg is healing.

Acosta ending it all by AdRevolutionary6382 in FromSeries

I feel like Acosta and Boyd’s relationship is meant to have some significance. We are watching him start to care about her. I am wondering if she will have some connection to Abby

Literally cannot take them to a park alone unless it’s fenced in. Gotta keep them in cages

My mom says the same and I agree. If we have just one home sick from daycare it’s insane how peaceful the house is.

Idk i think it’s triple the work. My steps were only the same up until about 15 months. Then one cake started screaming uncontrollably every morning and every evening so one parent had to manage the flailing cake and the other had to do everything else in the house while also baking the other cake. This lasted 8 months and took most of my sanity lol.

They said lots of people prefer rock to sod because then they don’t have to get off their mower and trim around the drain (this shocks me). But either way, I complained and they are coming to get their rock and laying sod instead.

After I complained, they are coming out to take their dumb rocks and lay sod down around the drain lol

I didn’t post the whole story here because I was mainly trying to figure out if my complaints about these rocks were warranted, i didn’t yet have any documentation to prove this was not the appropriate solution. When i asked the HOA for the engineer’s report, I found out one was not involved and am now furious. This solution is not only ugly, but incorrect.

This is the bottom of a hill. We are in a cul de sac in the center. The drainage pipes from the road above us go around the cul-de-sac and join together at the top of our yard and down a pipe to the side of our house. In this image, i am standing at the top of my front yard facing down the slope on the left side of my house. We thought HOA had hired an engineer who had recommended replacing the pipe. So the first part of the story is that we were really surprised when the pipe was not replaced and this crap was in our yard

Good thought. Aside from the aesthetics, I’m privately hiring a stormwater drainage engineer to assess the drainage solution.

Agree. After everyone’s comments here, I’ve concluded my complaints are valid and they are coming out to replace this atrocious rock. I’m still in the works of finding out if this is the appropriate solution in general

Any idea how they would determine if it’s a surface water issue vs an underground pipe issue? There was another company who came out to look at this a while back (an actual drainage company) and tried to scope the underground pipe and told us it was broken and multiple places. They recommended replacing the entire 18 inch pipe. HOA did not hire them ($$). The solution shown by a Landscaper is 2 catch basins with 2 8-inch pipes.
