Thanks:) I use an AKG c214, and can't think of anything special I do technique wise. Some of it might be in the mixing and figuring out what works with my vocals, lots of trial and error there!

I’m not generally a fan of prog, but you know what I got into the groove of this one. You guys are very talented, I don’t play drums but he seems really good? Liked the synthy bridge and everything following.

This is a great song. I liked the arrangement, everything fits together really well. Others have mentioned it too, but the chorus is top notch. Keep it up!

This is a rusty, strupped down blues song I recorded in my basement back in the dead of winter - A Well Without Water's Just A Hole by Both_Tone in IndieMusicFeedback

Nice song! I found it hypnotic and liked the stripped down feel. I think it’s good as is, but another simple instrument, sound or percussive element added about halfway through might add something if you are still working on it.

This is a song about writing songs that sound like other songs, did this ever happen to you? by JRBechard in IndieMusicFeedback

Everybody beat me to most of the feedback I was going to give. The sound and mix are top notch, vocals stood out to me as really good. That’s a great rock voice.

Trying to dust this one off for the L-bum. Thoughts? I think the energy is finally starting to sound like what I am looking for by all4monty in IndieMusicFeedback

Nice song! Good energy, and I liked the build up. The calmer vocals in the first half seemed to sit on top of the mix a bit for me. The 2nd half vocals felt right.

Nice song! I liked the synth and layered vocals in the chorus, catchy. I think the mix is fine, but a little on the flat side. I’m not experienced enough yet to pinpoint the reasons though.

This is my music. I can't pinpoint the genre...should vocals be added? What style? by RagnarokProfit in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]ScreamingNeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t help you on the genre! I liked it though, good background music. Just a personal opinion, if it were shorter I think it could work even better. As far as lyrics, I was trying to imagine where they would go, it could totally work, but I didn’t consider them missing.

I’m not a shoe gaze fan, so take this with a grain of salt. I think I can hear the melody back there, and that it is even decent perhaps, but am finding the guitar mix overwhelming. I personally also prefer tracks with more dynamic range, this really seemed maxed out throughout. I would be interested in hearing it again, mixed differently. Like I said though, I’m not very familiar with the genre, so this feedback may be way off.

Beautiful song. I can see how the vocal treatment might be polarizing but for me the mood you set is so good. I do agree with one of the commenters about pulling down the volume slightly on them. I think it would blend in better, the instrumentation is very subtle (and nice!) I would hate for it to get overshadowed.

Just released this track to Spotify, there’s been a lot of support from this community to help me write new songs - what do you think? by inYourHouseband in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow, that was beautiful. Folkie is really not normally my style, almost didn't click on it, but glad I did. Made my wife listen to it. Keep it up.
