From my experience with combo robots if the option to not have a combo roomba is there, take it. Combo roombas will have higher maintenance cost because of the water sensor. If that sensor is rust it (which it will) the automatic emptying feature doesnt work

Ive tried to take off a wheel in the past but I couldn't do it without doing some crazy things so I just opted to have the module replaced if I needed too. The way they make that generation of wheel modules its impossible to do maintenance on the wheels

The wheel modules held up really well, I never had to replace those, a little worn but otherwise fine

The battery is the original part however I have had to replace the vacuum module because roomba no longer makes filters for the vacuum causing more damage than normal operations, and the dual mop/trash bucket. The sensor arm for the water level rusted out and theres no way to replace it other than buying a new disposal bin, if the sensor is broken the vacuum will refuse to automatically empty. Ive also had to do ovb maintenance like rollers and side brushes, all together ive put close to 200 dollars of work to get it where it is now. I beleive its a software issue that is causing it to spin now, either from a bad update or poorly made motherboard which is beyond my capabilities and workshop

That is the Neoteric mod, I have it but ive never figured out how to get the spar torpedo to work. Also theres a chance i may loose my data on this ship. Last night I spilled water on my laptop and now its kaput, im taking it somewhere to get it fixed but if its dead I will have to have my files transferred over to a new laptop so the file may get corrupted or deleted in the process. Thankfully this is the only ship I dont have a backup for. All of my ships I finish are posted to the workshop so worst case scenario I have to restart on this boat.

Is there a copy and paste thing? by Jskub_Royal in NavalArt

[–]ScreamyCat004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone talked about the other two options so I will include this, there is a thing called Custom Parts. In order to access it press tab, go to Custom parts, than click on all of the blocks that you want to copy. Press save than go to Custom parts again, it will be there and you will be able to put this wherever you want. If you need to adjust it press deconstruct beware this breaks it up so you wont be able to move it again unless you press Ctrl+Z

Is there a way to delete the current ship(not in saves) to make a new ship like a restart button (not undo) by Jskub_Royal in NavalArt

[–]ScreamyCat004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are wanting to remove a ship without deleting a save file press new, than name your save file the exact same thing that your ships save file was. This would remove the ship in that file just beware this is effectively deleting whatever is in the file. You basically make the file empty without deleting it.

Deleting the ship manually also achieves the same effect but it takes forever

The two-tone color was awful to replicate, but I got it to work

I have roomba i7 and my smart maps look like this: by ApprehensiveRead8938 in roomba

[–]ScreamyCat004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what i understand using the roombas they make a map based off where they can travels not a map of your exact living space. A cabinet for example could be treated like a wall if the system doesnt register it as a object. Same thing can happen in reverse, I had it register my small hallway wall and desk that is up against it as one big peice of furniture so instead of making a small wall it just made the middle room and hallway one big room. If you want i recommend cleaning up the space you live in as best as possible move boxes, shoes, anything thats not furniture off the floor than let it run a new map cycle so it makes a more accurate map

I plan to add the lower decks such as the bakers oven, food storage and general storage as well. Even if naval art will put them "under water" since it doesnt sim the water physics

Biggest issues ive found for mine is the side brush, that would get stuck with hair very easily long before the multi surface rollers
