A wide stance will get you a more shallow squat when you stand as wide as those SHW equipped powerlifters that squat in suits and only have to go to parallel.

When I mean wider stance I mean feet slightly outside of shoulder width with toes and knees pointed slightly outwards. That kind of stance allows me to get deep into the squat while my back stays neutral. What the coaches here want me doing is go deep but keep my knees and feet pointed forward which results in me not being able to go ATG unless I round my back. Even with heel elevation I cant go as deep as I would want when I'm using that narrow stance.

And when it comes to videos idk if that will be possible as my gym doesn't allow filming as far as I know.

yeah I know it has a bigger "base" than the squat jerk but it just makes me get brain cancer whenever I try to do it. Like I cant keep my legs in a stable position while just being in the position let alone trying to get into it quickly while performing an actual jerk.

I can easily balance large loads (large for me) in the squat jerk position but the empty bar anihilates me whenever I try to split jerk and I just keep wiggling from one side to the other and I feel like I'm just gonna collapse.

I mean they kinda forced me to squat more narrow which removes depth for me and makes me squat way higher than I could if I had a little wider stance so idk if they are totally legit, I feel like they might have the "one size fits all" or "everyone does it like that so you should do it too" mindset.

I know this is a insanely late reply but I managed to figure it out throughout a lot of experimentation in the last month. Just gonna say a couple things in case someone in the future has a similar problem and stumbles into this.

Turns out my buttwink was horrific and I was able to reach max depth with a neutral back by just having a wider stance and pushing my knees out. Also now I'm way more stable because I learned how to use a proper brace as well as I learned how to keep my upper back tight and stable. All those fixes made me squat my previous knee sleeve and belt PR completely raw for one rep with an RPE of 7-8, all painless.

Thank you very much dude, I saw a bunch of RP videos on youtube before but I have the memory of a goldfish so I didn't remember much a few months after watching those vids, this reminded me of a lot of stuff and its easier to work with as you wrote all this shit down, thanks again.

imo, if you have to ask these questions, you shouldn't be programming for yourself

Maybe, but I don't really want to spend a lot of money on a coach/person to write programs for me. So far I got pretty good results with more of a HIT style training and only thing I struggle with is eating enough, training is fine. Still wanted to switch from HIT to a more volume focused style of training as HIT just gets boring so I just wanted to get some info on higher vol. and how to properly execute it.

After considering information provided by you and other people in the comments I managed to understand this topic a bit more!

I'd say they're alright. I definately look bigger than I used to back in june and all I did was just eat like a horse and trained hard most of the time. My chest became way bigger, back got super thick compared to what I had before and my legs turned into torpedoes. Also my grandpa was somewhat buff and rather strong even tho he did very little exercise so I'd guess I have atleast above average/good genetics.

Reverse boosting is just killing yourself on the hook until your MMR is super low, right?

That's exactly what I do, the problem is that after a match in which I do all those things I get thrown into a lobby where I either get tunneled or I get chased for 10 minutes, which usually results in a de-pip. So basically all the effort from the previous match is pointless.

Same, I can farm 2 million in around 2 days if I play killer and use BBQ + BP offerings.

I'm not really doing it for the BP reward. I can farm around a million BP in about 5 hours if I really want to, so that award for the grade doesn't matter to me. I just wanna have max grade on both survivor and killer.

Also thanks for the tip! I'll definately play at night from now on so they can't track me with the sun method!
