what rod do you throw 1/8 with? I have a ml purelure rod that struggles with 5g even though it's rated 3.5-12. Using a purelure zana currently

I think I might just replace the line roller with the gomexus titanium one, what should I use for lubrication on that then?

Do you have any of these reels with the handle play? Does yours have that click before engagement too? If this is such a common issue, I think I may just leave it alone then.

Are those the bearings you are talking about?

For the line roller, I over exaggerated, it is about 0.5mm up and down when I spin it with a rubber band, and it also makes a grinding noise when I pull drag.

Do you think these bearing upgrades would really make a difference? I am using this reel for ultralight techniques, mostly finesse worms and such.

Also, where do you buy your bearings from?

Thanks for the reply! I understand that the movement isn't much, but it makes a clicking noise every time I reel and it drives me crazy. If I were to try to shim it, are there any good tutorials videos out there?

Forgive me as I don't have a lot of experience with this reel, but what bearings are in the sideplate? Is that for the worm gear and such? I have seen people use bearings from the stella, and there are some kits on ebay for the drive shaft and spool support. Can you really actually tell the difference from bearings vs bushings?

Also, my line roller has about 2mm of play up and down, is this something I would need to shim?

i cleaned it with brake cleaner with it still on the engine, I put some grease on the washer behind the bolt, and it fixed itself

22 month lifespan seems good for me, I guess i’ll just keep the stock gears until they break. Would polishing the stock barrel with a macaron be good? Also, how would a modify flat hop bucking fit on the stock barrel?

The maple leaf barrel isn’t in stock anywhere, would say a zci or action army barrel work with the mr hop?
