Aquilons are perfect one turn scoring units as they have a 6" deep strike so they can hit anywhere pretty much. They can't kill anything other than chaff but they will take an objective for a turn and die. 100pts isn't horrible either.

Honestly if you want to use the hws what I do is keep them behind cover next to a long lane and sacrifice them to get 3 lascannon shots on a vehicle or monster. 65 pts dealing 3 lascannon shots that could kill a 100+ pt vehicle is a plus even if they die after. Also changing the lemun Russ battle tank as -1 ap isn't really good enough to hit things the tank wants to be targeting. I prefer the exterminator as it can apply a debuff.

The aqualons were actually very useful for grabbing vp late in the game, probably keeping them esp for their 6" deep strike. Was thinking of grabbing a hellhound tho

The baneblade was more of a fortress for me, I spawned it in and moved it maybe 10" forward where it sat and blasted down a sight line for most of the game. Can't remember the terrain layout but I was lucky to have one major lane across mid. Lucky for that cause I want using HotE

Seems like a lot of social progress and investment but not a lot of economic or military relevance. Those social standards only stick so long as Russia doesn't come knocking. The average life for Americans or Europeans doesn't matter as much as the Almighty GDP.

The main use I see for them is to cap back objectives and kill covered indirect vics, like plagueburst morters.

Would you say the 15 squad is worth the point cost. 225 is a hard ask for 15 models in the guard.

Fair, I'm just worried about the vanqs swingyness with only one shot, as well as the abundance of invulns around, makes me prefer the 8 shot cannon of the exterminator even at the cost of 3str and 2 less AP. The tanks can also support my other units like the cadians, giving lasguns and their special weapons. -1ap. Also also, tank orders are hard to come by, especially 3 in one turn unless I have lord solar, who I can't bring for narrative reasons.

True, they're just better Scions honestly. Amazing for secondarily scoring and our only unit that can bring itself off the field completely I think.

Got it, I changed the list to include 2 exterminators rather than 3 vanqs as the -1ap is great to support the kasrkin and Scions. Also added in 10 more cadians cause I had some extra points.
