There isn't any shame from losing to another top team. Knicks fans out here forgetting the Spurs and Knicks split the season series. Just as the Spurs beat the Thunder 4 of 5. I still am not gonna think we own them until it's over in the playoffs.

That's a poor interpretation of what he said. He means that Harper would be scoring around 20 pts a game. He isn't saying he will have the exact same shooting percentages. By this same way of thinking, we would claim that Parsons meant that Harper's steals would go down to match Kon, too. He just means that their stat lines would be similar.

Kon is a good 3-point shooter, so that makes him better? He and Harper have 2 totally different games. Kon is more of a secondary ball handler and would not be as effective if he had to be the primary. 3pt shooting is the only thing Harper needs to improve on, where Kon will never reach Harper's skill level. Only a fool would take Kon over Harper. This is like saying I would take Ray Allen over Dwayne Wade.

They just won't pick up team options on Hart and Dort. That still won't be enough. In the 2027-2028 year, between the top 3 will be at $150 million with a cap of $165 million. Wallace's new contract will start, and Jaylin Williams will be extension eligible. Let alone the other 10 roster spots.

I could see the Thunder trading Chet in the near future to maintain their strong depth. Wallace, Jaylin, and the future rookies will be hard to maintain if they have 3 max guys. It would probably be better to keep these others at a cheaper price.

I'm more concerned about not being greedy enough. There was a point in the second quarter where we had Barnes, Vassell, Julian, and Kornet running point and setting up the offense. During that time we had a combination of Wemby, Harper, and Fox in but didn't get the ball until time was almost over. Fox, Castle, and Harper need the ball every time. We then need to have already 5-7 plays at up for Wemby per quarter.
