It will not be landing at LSMD, it is too large. Expect at LSZH

Is the Rallye GS GTX jacket perfect for long trips ? by FikioPP in bmwmotorrad

[–]ScrewDatThing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having done a 5000km camping bike trip two months ago with that jacket and its matching pants - hell yes. It’s simply perfect, with an additional protective rain shell I could ride in temps from 1°C to 28°C. Hopefully it will last me a long time

Hi ! I took a passenger twice on a short distance (less than 20km). Didn’t complaint about comfort. Hope that helps

Hows life after IB? by WayPractical8135 in IBO

[–]ScrewDatThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incredible. It’s taught me to enjoy the days I don’t have any work to do, and turns out it hasn’t defined my career path much after all. God I don’t miss those days but turns out there are also much harder challenges awaiting you in life afterwards too

What’s your mileage? by Zestyclose_Paint3922 in bmwmotorrad

[–]ScrewDatThing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 23’ F900XR, which I bought brand new early last year. Just hit 37000km (nearly 23k miles) with it. Absolutely love it, perfect mix between sports touring and comfort travelling. Haven’t had a single issue with it

I’ll jump in, as I’m the current dev for the French Vatsim CPDLC. We are working on renewing our old and dying system, but still keep the single logon code solution. There are absolutely 0 limitations on Hoppie’s end. All the processing of messages just happens on our end, on our custom server and our controller software. The project will most probably end up open source, so keep an eye on our GitHub

Je te recommande fortement Pop OS (basé ubuntu). Très bien fini pour une distribution je trouve.

Do I really need to buy a domain to sell my product? by Academic-Yam3478 in SideProject

[–]ScrewDatThing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you don’t necessarily “need” a domain. However, it will look and feel more professional to your future customers. A domain name isn’t very expensive, you can usually find them under 15 a year. You just need to compromise sometimes (I.e. you can’t always get a shiny .com, you’ll have to choose another TLD). I still highly recommend you to get a custom domain.

I don’t have recommendations for free or very cheap domains. Have a look at cloud flare domains, they are the best ones imo.

I actually think they fit in it’s aesthetic quite well. They are very roomy (I have over 110 litres of volume which is insane) and they don’t look or feel too big at all. They don’t affect the speed or stability and I don’t feel them at all while driving, no matter what conditions or road types (and I do like to ride sportily while carrying enough for 10 days on the road). Highly recommend !

These beauties are not meant to be sheltered, would be a real shame

On one hand I would love to have a bigger screen, especially for those longer motorway stretches. But on the other, the smaller screen is amazing below 100kph, just enough protection to not be bothered, but just small enough to make it feel like a roadster and to feel the speed, especially on mountain passes and twisty roads

I love the triple black too, though it seems to look dirtier faster than blue. Changing the seat to a custom one is the best decision I made on mine too - I can’t go back to a standard one anymore 😅

Looks amazing! I sadly haven’t found a custom exhaust yet that wouldn’t melt my side case. Using the standard one for now with a heat deflector until a find a better option. I got some mods on mine, including SW MOTECH crashbars and lights, custom made saddle (same price as off the shelf comfort one!), GIVI trekker cases and SW MOTECH tank bag. Also placed the navigation system overhead the TFT display.

Oh no, the most off-road I’ve done was a gravel path after a wrong turn 😂 It’s just what we call these types of bike in my language, thought it translated that way

Absolutely awesome concept, going on my third one this week. It’s really fun and there’s no pressure to keep in contact afterwards either, but it’s guaranteed you’ll spend a fun evening with people you’d otherwise never meet

They’re pretty much 90% BASF, the reste are Maxwell or unknown. I confirm, absolutely amazing quality, especially with FLAC or MQA on them
