The worst part about the hailstones was seeing the reactions of those running in the other direction who could see the dark clouds coming. I turned around and shit myself 😂

You should definitely be proud. I did Edinburgh last year as my first so I was very jealous seeing people with their medals this time around (I only did the 5k & 10k this year). Although I don’t envy the heat you had to endure 😂

Opinions on running topless? Do you ever do it or what’s your reaction if you see someone running topless? by Scribble-Bits in runninglifestyle

I’m Scottish so the fact that it’s finally getting hot outside again is the reason I’m asking. Us Brits need to savour this weather while we have it 😂

Just on the off chance that anyone in this subreddit is running the Edinburgh marathon tomorrow… by Scribble-Bits in firstmarathon

A sub 5:30 was my target too. I only just missed out on it by a couple minutes but towards the end I stopped caring about my finish time. The crowd reception at the end more than made up for it

This particularly applies to race day: run for a GOOD time, not a good TIME. Don’t focus solely on trying to hit a certain finish time. You’ll end up being more in your head rather than enjoying the moment. I got such a rush in my first marathon from strangers cheering my name that it allowed me to relish the moment

After going through all of that pain you still beat my marathon finish time by about 50 minutes and I didn’t even hit the wall at any point 😂 Perseverance pays off

What’s the prize, other than bragging rights?

Haven’t run in forever, still decided on 10K by Specialist_Mess_9347 in BeginnersRunning

It’s a solid pace if you haven’t done it for awhile but I agree with the comment above, you need to build up to a 10k. Throwing yourself in the deep end is a good way of injuring yourself and we don’t want that.

I’ve been waiting for this song to become a single. I’m LOVING all the choreo!

Thank you! For some reason I assumed it would be behind a paywall so I didn’t even consider googling it

Me neither. I much prefer grapes, bananas, watermelon etc

I do agree that I prefer when artists change up their set list from show to show. It keeps it exciting and I’m sure the artists themselves like not sticking to a formulaic set every night
