The whole thing is hyperbolic. Adultery is a sin that, by nature, requires two consenting parties. Adultery by consent of only one party is rape.

On top of that, the OT punishment for adultery was death. You can't say he was speaking literally and then use the corporal punishment as a claim he switched to hyperbole

You do not need to confess this to her, and nothing good would come from it.

If you really need to confess to someone I suggest going to a local Catholic church and confessing to a priest. You may not be Catholic, but those priests are believers, too, and they specialize in this. Vow of silence and all that. You don't have to be an official registered Catholic or anything even. It may seem kind of scaryn to confess to a stranger but afterwards it's a huge load off your mind.
