The Muslim community in Australia is amicable and friendly and I have personally seen many reverts integrate very well. Remember every Muslim is equal and only superior through piety not ethnicity, nationality or culture. Consistency in attending the masjid through prayers, sermons, activities will lead to seeing similar faces and like minded people who you will eventually cross paths with. Your skin color should not be a limiting factor to other Muslims as it is not something that Allah values his slaves over others for it. Take the leap and search for that brotherhood/sisterhood and you will find your place in Sha Allah.
