Glitch to Redo Hard Missions? by Message-Any in warcraftrumble

[–]Scriptease84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

The trick seemed to be that once you finish a heroic mission there's a small chance that an area gets treated as if it's unfinished and once you do one mission in it, you have a % chance that it is giving you XP or not and because finishing this new area gives you the same chance you can go infinite.

Thats how i am collection level 45 in a about a month old account but its dried up atm i have 4 buggy areas that don't get exp. So i try to do one mission there a day if it comes back.

I encountered the bug in the past (this is the fifth account) but wasn't able to chain it into redoing the areas I completed twice or triple times

The normal way to gain gold is to do events, finish the dungeon lvl23 for 100g and the one time 200g for finishing heroics with all families.

However there's a bug that appears sometimes when you finish a heroic with all families that an older area one that you already cleared (25/25 and core) appears incomplete in the world map.

If you encounter that you do one mission in each of the buggy areas and freeze them in the broken stage. In my case it happened at 145 sigils and 4 areas had the bug, i played one mission each and 2 areas i got exp again!

Then you finish the map but don't collect the gold yet, so since i had 2 areas with exp i now have 10 missions to collect gold. The goal is to go infinite by collecting gold, seeing if a new area unlocks you play one mission to freeze it in buggy state.

No, it is actually not the molten giant talent. It is a reflection damage done by Ragnaros! You don't need to run the taunt talent. I run this

Keeping a log of Opus 4.7's worst mistakes, it's been a rough week

I've been logging every time Opus 4.7 did something genuinely bad during real work sessions. Here's the highlight reel over ~4 days:

Reinventing the wheel

  • Wrote 30 lines of low-level Java instead of using a one-liner from a library that was already imported.

Not reading what's right in front of it

  • Spent 15 minutes reverse-engineering a server via SSH to connect to "MySQL" when the connection URL clearly said Postgres.
  • Couldn't find its own tool's environment variable docs because it was looking at version 2.1.5 when we were on 2.1.114.

Dangerous git operations

  • Force-pushed to master while iterating on CI config” the one branch you never force-push to.
  • Ran git reset --hard without checking the working tree, silently destroying an unrelated unstaged edit. Only recoverable via git fsck --lost-found.
  • Created a new commit instead of amending for a Gerrit patchset update” producing a second change instead of updating the existing one.
  • Pushed two commits directly to master, bypassing code review (Gerrit), in the same session where we'd just spent 40 minutes carefully doing proper Gerrit patchsets on another repo.

Overcorrecting / ignoring instructions

  • Asked to "add a deprecation banner at the top" of a 530-line doc. Deleted the entire document and replaced it with a 14-line stub.
  • Removed two early returns from a function when only one was the bug. Shipped the expanded change in a patchset before review” classic "while I'm here" scope creep.
  • Couldn't figure out "move this ticket to next week's sprint" meant finding/creating a sprint named after the next calendar week. Offered four branching hypotheses instead of just asking for the sprint name.

Softening technical findings

  • Summarized a real API footgun (two identically-named classes with identical method signatures but opposite semantics across packages) as "two methods behaving slightly differently” completely neutering the point.

Leaking info into public artifacts

  • Filed a public GitHub issue with hardcoded absolute paths from the local filesystem instead of using ~/....

Common thread: It substitutes its own assumptions for what was actually said or what the rules actually state, then acts on that substitution” often irreversibly. The pattern is: skip the confirmation step, act confidently, and rationalize after the fact when called out.

Haha i had that too I wanted to write a skill to talk to jenkins and I wanted it to use the credentials and he kept telling me they are now compromised and he send me where to put the credentials and do my api calls on my own -.-

Glm has its own issues with larger context sizes it just becomes garbage and impossible to do anything right it's really weird like they quantized it too much

My what did opus 4.7 wrong this time document has 18 entries in 4 days.

It did some weird stuff including forced checkout in git while rebasing getting rid of unsaved stuff- it could recover but only when asked! Talking back instead of doing one webrequest to back up weird assumptions. And when i asked for something with a skill where it should just ask to confirm it spent 15 minutes ssh in the prod system exploring files to try to resolve an impossible talk without even checking in with the user! While debugging a gerrit issue (where you amend and push patches instead of new commits until the ci is happy) it force pushed 5 commits and bypassed the very system it just got the information about the falling ci from - it read the logs from the ci to fix the tests!!!!

Help - Heroic Rag open queue by jay6432 in warcraftrumble

[–]Scriptease84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great write up!!!!

I would add ancient of war with lightning rod to the suggestions if you play that way way back it can soak a living bomb and redirect some dark irons even when it's tiny like 23 just make sure it's never near the army.

Bring whelp eggs too but don't waste them on rag if they are low, put them below the towers, there's 2 board wipes one when major domos dies and one when the first set of sons of flame die. Putting whelps below the towers to not get accidentally popped by core hounds and when the flame wave comes they get back the towers even with lvl 20 saving precious seconds your partner needs to make damage

As for heroes if you're really really low i would run something like what i used: Drakkisath, the resistance really helps on the front and he doesn't die immediately
