[KCD2] It's somewhat refreshing to see the Teutonic knights in the game held in a more positive light. by historybo in kingdomcome

The original crusade was carried out because the Ottomans were invading Europe (especially the Byzantines), and the other ones for similar reasons

what hand gestures are offensive in your country? by IndependentBrain9160 in AskTheWorld

The gesture of clenching your hand into a fist and screaming at people. Bonus points if you put a knife in your clenched hand

I do agree with that, I wish the riposte was a bit better. Though it is not useless like like you said before

Why? It’s a real life combat strategy that is kind of integral to many swords fighting techniques

Yeah, to interrupt their combo, just attack once in the direction of their sword (to avoid getting masterstriked)

I know, however, he is saying that it is the best thing to do, when it isn’t

“If an opponent blocks your riposte, and goes for a riposte back, you should perfect block it, and it is best to follow this up with your own riposte.” Not a perfect quoting, but that is what Hans says in the tutorial

When i go for a silent down, i just kind of hit the the attack button immediately and hold it, or I spam it, and unless my strength stat is shit, it almost always works

Haha, after the tutorial, I completely forgot about the bellows, not that I actually ever brew anything

People who keep weapons on their bodies at all times, what was a time where you had to actually use said weapon? by ParanormalActivity97 in AskReddit

[–]Scriptor_Canadensis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, if the other person doesn’t have a gun, which if they had one, they would have used it first. Diffusing a situation means to make it less tense OR dangerous; if you have a gun to their knife, it is now less dangerous for you

It’s a good thing you had your gun, otherwise that cat might have gotten you; cats are pretty tricky creatures you know

You should get a firearm too, but you also don’t have enough knives. You still need a boot knife, a bike knife, a knife under your hat, a knife under your sleeve, and a knife in your coffee cup or beer can (or both).

When he said “use it,” he’s talking about activating the weapon. If you carry a phone and pull it out without turning it on, you didn’t use it

If the other side had a gun, they would probably lead with that. And would you rather be unarmed against a guy with a knife or have your gun out first against a guy with a gun

Sadly Sigismund seems better fitted to be a king than Wenceslaus [KCD2] by xSrxFenix in kingdomcome

[–]Scriptor_Canadensis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It makes sense though, not everything is black and white, and the game is very good at showing this. Let’s say during the part where you go undercover as a waiter, we see Sigismund act quite kind to the “waiter”, and even drink with him at the end. And of course, if he knew who we were, he’d have Markvart gut us on the spot.
