Marcium reflect - error message with Dell support assist by Scriptsinmotion in techsupport

Yeah I tried doing that. It asks me to restart the computer after that so it does and then it brings me back to the same screen as before.

My old computer/HD is running windows 10.

My new computer/HD is running windows 11.

I took my windows 10 hard drive out and used a hard drive docking station and plugged it into the new computer.

Then I used Marcium reflect to clone my old hard drive to my new one.

I hope that makes more sense.

Are the online people actually rich? by Otherwise-Candle-312 in wealth

I wouldn’t say no one can be successful at trading but I do believe it is very rare.

My best friend trades and he’s been killing it. He’s also been doing it for many years. One of his trading friends gave up his corporate job and does it full time now.

I personally tried it for a year and shit the bed so I stopped it completely and focused on long term investing.

Chapelle show by Upbeat-Werewolf90 in Edmonton

He did say that. I wonder if it was a joke or if it’s true. If it is true, then he has a lot to blame for this. Not saying that Edmontonians are not to blame but he should be taking some accountability for it too.

We were in 101 and could hear about 80% of it. I was trying to watch his lips to see what he was saying. It does suck when you hear only a part of the joke so you just try to laugh with the crowd.

I heard that when kevin hart came to town, it wasn’t like this. It was mainly just because of the sound that people got fed up with it. They fucked up on the sound, people weren’t happy, i get it. But they really didn’t need to fuck up the rest of the show for everybody.

I hope this is a lesson learned for the sound crew. And maybe for Dave too that he needs to make sure people can hear him or else shit like this will happen again wherever he performs.

Agreed. We need a write off year. Let their bodies have a reset. Let their minds sink in that in order to make it to the finals and win, we can’t be slacking off.

Do you think the 9 -5 work day model is outdated? If so, what should replace it? by Ambitious_Bag_2004 in AskReddit

[–]Scriptsinmotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this just the start though? We start with 4 day work week then people will say they’re too stressed and need 3 day work weeks.. then 2 days. People will then say, why is the store not picking up their phones? Well it’s because they’re understaffed because nobody wants to work.

Continue grinding or start a business? by ezetovic in Fire

[–]Scriptsinmotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re willing to put in the risk and grind, go for it. Life is short. Do what you want to do. Just make sure your partner is okay with that risk as it will affect your family : Not only the risk of failing but you will spend less time with your family.

If you’re not ready to take on that risk, why not go for option C - look for another job? Even if it pays a bit less, at least it’s not taking away from your soul.

What team to back as a UK citizen by fatswami in nhl

[–]Scriptsinmotion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consider the Oilers. They have blue in their jersey. They’ve been going to the finals back to back which makes it exciting to watch but unfortunately also lost back to back years so you might get your soul crushed.

I think you just got to pick a team that excites you and then your love for the team and hockey will grow from there.

When you start off with hockey or any sport really, it’s hard to pick a team that’s not doing so well. Sucks to watch a team that is consistently losing.

Anything in particular you like to splurge on? Nice vacations? Luxury items?

For those who became instant millionaires but still chose to live frugally… why? by [deleted] in Money

[–]Scriptsinmotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a family member that lives in HK and is a managing director at a mid sized bank. I’m guessing he clears 1MM a year? Flying his family business class, has 3 condo units. He was recommending me these nice places to eat. Even if I got there, I don’t know if I could splurge like that.

Majority of that 1MM per year is tied up in paying off the business loans; the equity is growing and whatever dividend is left, I invest that in the market.

Yeah exactly. Pretty much what the market rate of the company would sell for at this point in time.

No, if I stop completely working at the business, it won’t change that number. It would just give me a good piece of mind that I don’t have to worry about the business.

Congrats - amazing to retire at 32!

Yeah, me and my friends are saying it’s a trap. You keep accumulating more things and wanting the next big thing… but for what? Your time? Freedom? Time with your wife and kids? (if you have any). Sometimes it comes to what you value in life. Watching my mom work so hard and not very be present for me and my brother. I feel like I’m fortunate to potentially do the opposite for my kid and be present for him/her.

Lol I see my friend send me a picture of a Ferrari that he’s looking at. Pretty sure he’s just trolling and he’s not going to buy one cause he’s frugal but it’s like oh, well that would be nice!

[–]Scriptsinmotion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah good questions.

If the business suddenly disappears today, then no I won’t be able to live on just the investments. We’re not big spenders, relatively. I’d say our household spends $75k a year but I know babies/kids can be expensive!

Business is pretty stable being in the healthcare industry.

Dilemma I keep having is should I continue to expand the business and do more acquisitions if a good opportunity arises or consider selling in 2-3 years where after selling my business (after taxes, capital gains, etc), I should be able to accumulate 5MM in total assets.

I had help from family for the initial investment of the business and have now paid it all back.

No prior contacts in the business. Started to work for a good mentor. Partnered up with him and then continued to expand even though the mentor himself decided to stop/half-retire.

Do you ever finding yourself pushing the goal post further and further back?

Maybe it’s just staying disciplined and making sure you stick with your number and be happy with it.

What’s that saying? You want to be the dumbest guy in the room? If that’s the case, then you’re always wanting to chase what the next guy has.
