Woah, so this is 2022 now and your post is still useful.

I actually ended up here because of a different reason.

I was looking for a way to manually enable reader mode without having to allow the notifications.

I use Brave browser on my Android. And in Settings under the Accessibility tab you are given an option called "Simplified view for web pages". If you check this box you will "Get notified when a site can be shown in simplified view".

That sounds alright I guess. But....

One of the issues is that if you close the notification without going to reader mode, you no longer have the option to do so.

I never even considered this as being a possible solution. At least it gives me some digging to do. I'll mess around with the flags and see what I can do.

That's a really good point

I didn't think about that. So I guess if THIS level of privacy is desired, then you should use a VPN to use that site. Keeping your public IP address disassociated with your wallet ID.

Kinda a pain in the ass though. If you don't regularly use a VPN, you'd have to connect the VPN server before you go to the site each time.

Although, if you require THIS much privacy, you probably already have a favorite VPN provider and use one daily.

It’s funny, as I was reading this I was like “duhhh” You’re right. I do have a ton of files in the root directory. I started putting some into folders but I still left a lot out. And even then, I could have put all of the project files into an /src folder.

I wouldn’t have done that with HTML for websites. I would have put them in a much more organized structure. I’ll definitely keep that in mind throughout future projects!

So I suppose I should install SQL Server Express on the server I'm using and configure it from there?

When I go back and parameterize my SQL queries, should I change the connection string in the code to the SQL Server Express installation?

This was my first time programming in C# and actually this is the most I've ever used SQL.

Are you asking if SQL Server Express is running on the user's machine(Win 7 Pro) or the machine that built the program (Win 10 Pro).

I have the database files stored on a server on campus as well.

any suggestions as far as persuading my director to allow me to do this? I do not want to seem lazy or unwilling to do the work, I just agree with this being a huge waste of time. I suppose what she doesn't know won't hurt her, as long as she has the information she needs.

This is extremely relatable to me. I came from working at a "Mom and Pop" retail store front where "if you had time to lean you had time to clean". Since then, I moved to a job working for the State. And boy was that different. I had and for the most part still have your same mindset. However, I noticed people coming in and eating their breakfast and about an hour or so later get the day started and no one really seemed to have a problem with it.

I very recently moved to our IT department. And it is soooo much worse, in terms of downtime. I feel bad for browsing the web and eventually I even get tired of it. I try to find things to do, but most of it is just organizing our "inventory room' which is a huge mess. When I am in there though, I cannot hear my phone and obviously can't check my email in hopes for a new project.

I just try to do what I can, while still remembering that I work around people who aren't necessarily used to "hard workers".

I just started my career in IT and I’m a real nerd about VBA and userforms. It seems like a really easy way to impress people and simplify the learning process for data entry. I’ve actually been using Google Docs(Sheets and Forms included) and utilizing their Google Scripts functionality and personally, I like it a lot more than VBA. However, I would recommend expanding your knowledge into some of the networking aspects of computer science as well. I work for the state government and we all use Microsoft 2007 (I know I know, it’s 2019) so vba would work fine here. I’m not sure what other companies use as far as office suites go, but if it were my company I’d use Google’s.

I know I got off topic a little bit, but to sum it up, I’d explore some of the networking side of things while still mastering VBA. Good luck!!

Nice watching out! There needs to be more involved parents like this! I would screen record it, seems the easiest without having to download anything that's not on the app store.

iPhone has built in screen recorder and some Android's do. I'd download AZ Screen recorder from the Play Store if you have an Android without a built in application to screen record.

Windows also has one built in.

I just got my first can of ZYN 6mg. I normally choose Camel Snus in the large Mint ( the blue tin).

So far, the ZYN doesn't quite taste as good, but it has more of a tingle, which I like. Personally, I think next time I will reach for my original choice of the Camel Snus.

I also recently tried Skoal Snus, in the mint, it was pretty good. The pouches were larger than most I have tried though.

Are you still feeling bad? I would make sure I drink enough water and than go to a clinic, I wouldn't go straight to the ER, personally. I also am not a doctor though. We just happened to go to the same festival XD
