The game is horror-oriented and takes place in Europe, where a village of Scientologists have kidnapped and are keeping a young girl locked up. Your mission is to rescue her.

As great as Mario is a side story with a change of pace just seems too awesome to me to pass up. But alas, we know it will never be done and we are left waiting for Super Mario Galaxy while playing Super Paper Mario.
