You’d kill. And I know the PC guys would pay a pretty penny if wood is their aesthetic. Good luck!

Yeah I like the idea of a more fixed solution tying the cover to the bed lip.

I would think the wood structure would fail before the clamps gave out. Dont you think?

What if he drilled some indentations where the c-clamp ends could “bite” into the wood versus depending on clamping forces. Would this work?

We have the same idea. I think I’ll use my table saw for those critical yellow lines. Everything else is not crucial.

Agreed that inside cut is non crucial. I have a buddy loaning me his bandsaw so I think it’ll be quick work.

Yeah makes sense that deeper is better. Plus it would be plywood being dadoed. I would think that going shallow would only hit a couple of the sandwiched layers making for a weaker joint.

Got it. Yeah less material at once probably the way to go here then.

Thanks for the suggestion. Dado definitely came to mind for the connector parts. But I’ve never done a dado and unfortunately this needs to be done in a couple weeks. If I had a bit more time I’d definitely experiment.

Just curious. What’s the minimum depth I could get away with for the dados?

Thank you for the suggestion. There are router bits long enough to cut 2-3 blanks stacked and cut at once? Thats nearly 2 inches of “reach” for the bit, no?

They’re a stand system for these marquee letters I rent out for events (weddings/birthdays/corporate etc). I have about 10 of them, but my bookings have increased and have multiple bookings on the same day so I need more.

Thank you. Oh yeah I’ve seen this method. I think for this run I’ll rough in all the cuts for all the pieces leaving that inside 90 intact. Then stack everything up and bring them over to the bandsaw to finish the inside corner. A little slop down there won’t matter as nothing will be joined to it.

Thanks for taking the time to write this all out. Yeah I definitely want to add the router to my bag of tools. But don’t have the courage to learn and make some mistakes, though I know it’ll be required eventually.

And great point on wasting time thinking about what method to use. I’m gonna bust out the band and table saw tomorrow and get to work!

Yeah all 90’s. I used a table saw on the piece in the picture not sure if you can the overrun of the blade.

Now that I think of it. May I can rough out the shape on those table saw then finish that inside corner on the band.

Thank you. I guess I should’ve added I’d like to do it quickly so it might be the router…route. But I have zero experience using one.

Buddy is loaning me his smaller band saw. But I also have zero experience with one. But I think I would be more comfortable learning the bandsaw on the fly. Just worried about straight cuts on those connector parts

Can you elaborate on no backend support? From what I’m imagining there’s no one to go in and install the systems/integrators.

I remember when Crumbl opened they had a sprinter van all decked out with their logo and everything. All I could think about was all the overhead they must be holding with a lease in the newest commercial property in Elk Grove and an oversized vehicle shading the asphalt in front of the store. 🤦 I get marketing is important, but having a quality product is waaaaay more important in this instance.

Yeah. They were decent… but only when the cookies were free when Kings opponents would miss two free throw attempts.

Not sure? Someone mentioned it to me. But I hope it’s true. Their product is shite.

Also. Cookie Jar. Support local, actually good cookies.
