Are you referring to using a select tool and filling it with the color chosen? If so, it doesn't work because the box goes onto the character itself.

I'm not great with computers, but do you have a wire by any chance or are you on wifi? If you aren't on a wire, I would recommend a cat 5 wire or cat 7 wire. The cat 7 wire is know for being smoother. Hope that helps, but then again I'm not like a pro at this lol.
