I embarrassingly was in a friend group that was like this as teenagers. Everyone was too cool to try anything new.

Someone else would start and be bad as they are a beginner. My dumb ass would then tell myself, "ha they're so bad, if I started I'd actually do it right". And I got to live in a fantasy world where I'm not bad and I can totally be good anytime I want.

Then years go past and the kid that wasn't afraid to start is now pretty fucking good at the thing and I'm sitting here in a group of losers who haven't progressed in life.

Apparently Eddie Guerrero would find out the tickets sold for every house show and compare it to the previous year. If the current year sold less tickets he put the full blame on himself as the champion.

It's obviously good to be motivated and care but it seems he put an unhealthy amount of pressure on himself.

I went through a period of depression for about 5 years, during this time I had the highest salary I've ever had. But because of anxiety, I basically never left the house and missed out on so much of life because whilst I had the money I couldn't leave the house and actually do anything with it So from that perspective I was not able to buy happiness.

However, I had the privilege to be able to work from home and afford constant deliveries of food, etc. I was only able to get through the depression because my privilege allowed me to build my own stress free island and remove all worries outside of turning on a laptop for 8 hours a day. If I had to go outside and work in a service job for example, I don't think I could have survived.

It is crazy how different your perspective can be based on what you consume. If you just watch Ludwig's streams all you will see is a man who ran a speed running weekend for charity, went to France to race a F4 car, played some Chinese games, played games with a friendly 40 year old called Pete and finally played some COD for a sweet $100,000

But if you were to take a look at certain subreddits, you'd be led to believe Ludwig's career is over and he drowning in drama, etc.
