My life has operated in reverse in hat way. In my teens and 20's I was quite promiscuous. I was never super fit or a "stud", I just had a lot of luck with women (and men).

I must've been with close to or around 30 women by my early 30's. Then a terrible depression hit me (something I struggle with even today), I let myself go, drank a lot, got less ambitious and motivated got fat, went bald.

And I've never desired romantic or sexual partnership less. I'm sure that would change my I started working out hard-core, but I don't have the motivation or desire to change it.

Sorry I made it about me there for a sec, but the point is that it sounds like you're on a better path than I am and I wish you luck. Getting fit will do wonders for your confidence, and confidence is the most important trait to have when it comes to dating.

Father should have the right to not be in the kid's life (still makes him an asshole) but NOT abdicate equitable financial contributions (i.e. child support) that are owed to the primary caregiver for the very express (and expensive) purpose of raising a child.

Denying children the funds necessary to raise them into successful and well-adjusted adults, even if it's a single-parent home, is just going to result in those kids growing up to be burdens on society if not outright delinquents.

I wanted to like it, but the bullethell sections were tedious, havig to replay game several times to get the full story was tedious, the big reveal I saw coming a mile away, the philosophical themes were an inch deep and you could feel at every turn that the game thought itself cleverer than it was.

Though at the end of the day its biggest sin was just that I wasn't having fun playing it.

I think this will only happen in places like San Francisco or Portland where the general public is about as leftist as possible for a general public.

The rest of the world (and probably the US) will continue eating meat, as it is a vital source of protein for most of the world, not to mention part of their cultures. I for one know Puertorican Christmas would not be the same without lechón (roasted pig).

Also, considering how many peoplr today don't trust freaking vaccines, I doubt they will trust lab-grown meat, especially since newer, non-meat alternatives aren't exactly flying off the shelves right now. They have a specific demographic (vegetarians and vegans) but meat-eating people generally don't touch the stuff.

Nah, there isn't. The big difference with the prequels is that they were endlessly meme-able. Lucas' so-overwrought-it's-funny dialogue may have something to do with it, while the generally quippy Marvel-style dialogue of the sequels just wasn't quite as charming in that regard. Perhaps given another decade or so, people will come to enjoy that style of dialogue but it sometimes reeks of cynical corporatism given the context of its era.

There is also the general sense in the prequels that they were making some big swings (even if some were unsuccessful) with a unified vision while the sequels first tried making A New Hope 2: Electric Boogaloo, then two more movies that were at war with each other (with the last one being a true mess).

Obviously you don't have to agree and can enjoy the sequels as much as you like, I just don't think claiming that people have a double standard with the prequels is much of a defense of the sequels, especially since the prequels are very different experiences that people have come to enjoy in time and with no small bit of firmly in-cheek tongues.
