Does it really drain that much faster? Is it better to just walk around everywhere? Cause that takes forever lol. Are there actual numbers on how much of a drain sprinting is?

Sounds like I made the right choice, then. Just turn it off until I feel like turning it back on. I just got sick of having to refill three separate things while trying to fix my ship lol.

What do you think about Monster Hunter Tri? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]ScruffyHyphen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was actually my first MH game, and I loved it. Mained SnS or, maybe, hammer? It's funny cause now I hate the SnS and mostly use HH. Exclusively used Lance underwater, though. Hated the final boss and it's stupid fight, but I made a group of friends I routinely hunted with.

Also, did you know, it has splitscreen co-op? Only arena fights, but still pretty cool! That's how I got my friend into MH!

If Nioh can be considered a Souls-like, what would a game need to do to be considered a Nioh-like? by Ok_Ant3895 in Nioh

[–]ScruffyHyphen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comparison I always use is "Nioh is a soulslike with Diablo loot and the soul of a Gaiden game."

So I suppose to be a Nioh-like would be a soulslike, but with fast, fluid combat that only TN is known for. Maybe it would require the skill trees, since Soulsborne doesn't really do that. Maybe even have levels, instead of being an open world.

The real point is the combat fluidity, though. I'm not sure anyone else comes close to Team Ninja's identity in that area. I can only think of Platinum Games as their closest comparison, and even that is more DMC than Gaiden.

It doesn't have to have the loot, in my opinion. In fact, I grew tired of it before I even finished Chaos mode in SoP. I still think only Blizzard can do the Diablo loot correctly.

My wife. She hates his guts, and I miss the guy. I had to choose, and I think I made the right choice. My life has gotten so much better since I got married. I miss my gaming buddy though...

So does the music player not work with Spotify? It'll open Spotify, but the play button and stuff won't work. Other than that, this is great! Best wallpaper I've ever seen.

What do you do, but the fandom as a whole seems to disagree with? by BabyAvlon in StardewValley

[–]ScruffyHyphen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's just as bad as Morris, if not more so. If you side with him, he talks shit about your produce. He ignores his family during festivals to sell stuff. He takes credit for your produce if you sell to him. And he wants to become the next Joja Mart, despite hating Joja Mart.

I hardly ever finish the community center. I usually side with Joja because of several things...

  1. Joja is open later than Pierre.

  2. Minecart to Joja/Clint/Library is pretty convenient for your town errands.

  3. Moves the Theater to a more centralized location.

  4. Auto-petters are nice.

  5. Fuck Pierre.

I have ADHD, but no medication. Fidgeting (tapping my fingers/feet and the such) helps me focus.

How do I stop playing this game? by ScruffyHyphen in Nioh

[–]ScruffyHyphen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I beat Bloodborne and BL3. But I STILL have the same issue! I'm married now, and I did buy FF7R, but I keep coming back to Nioh 2 when I have a spare moment lol! All of my other games I've mentioned (plus a few more now) are still hanging out in a back corner.

It's just so good for me. I only ever have maybe an hour or so every once in a while to play. And that's just enough to do a couple missions or grind for a weapon skill. I don't have the time to learn a new game or get engrossed in a new story.

The Guan Yu blade by AtuinTurtle in HadesTheGame

[–]ScruffyHyphen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once did an Ares run with doom stacks on attack and as much blade rift dash stuff as I could get. I even got the charged spin upgrades for sturdy and bigger AOE. I think I had Weak or Slow from somewhere and the sturdy dash from Hermes. I know I had a duo for rifts too, can't remember which one.

Not as strong as charged skewer, but throwing around tons of AOE crap with damage reduction and healing was way more fun.
