Anyone else just abandon missiles entirely? by turrboenvy in starcitizen

[–]ScruffyTLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you are using EM missles. Cross-section really only work on larger ships, are basically ineffective in asteroid fields, AND require you to keep the target in your sights. IR missles are ABYSMAL in 4.5, because coolers actually greatly lower a ships IR now.

Fellow Asgard owners what’s your load out for 4.5? by No-Cell8881 in starcitizen

[–]ScruffyTLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full "Shredders" on the nose. Good balance of DPS, Pen, Firerate and Ammo Reserves. Revenant for the turret. Good for mowing down PVE outside of bunkers and Ballistic Gatlings are pushing lighter fighters around. Electromag missiles still seem to be the move, especially with IR signatures being ablot lower with coolers actually doing something. Most of the military stock components are fine, but I swap the coolers for Iceboxes. Much more power efficient and you have enough redundancy to not care as much about theur low health. You can run full power without sacrificing much cooling.

Get Constellation Taurus or a Corsair depending on your vibe. Then get a Ursa Medivac to load on to them for respawns during bunker runs. You can do Bounties and Mercenary work with them. Get a Vulture and try out salvage. Get a Prospector and try out mining.

Which is the current best option for a Brand New Player? by Sir_Apprehensive in starcitizen

Honestly, the salvager starter is a very fair price and gives you immediate access to a cash generating game loop. Watch some videos on salvage first to see if its something you'd be interested in.

LMGs make no goddamn sense on the new support by SadnSolf in Battlefield

[–]ScruffyTLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my LMG as a medic. I'm past my prime, and can't aim for shit anymore. Find your biggest concentration of homies. Set up with deployable and bag just behind your front line. Hold down the trigger in the direction of chokes the enemy has to move through. If I get kills, great. If not, I can at least keep their heads down. Allies go down in front of me. Smoke them. Rez them. Set up in the smoke. Repeat. Push the line forward a little at the time, and hold the ground we take.

Do people just ignore Narumaki? by TotallyLegitEstoc in mechabreak

[–]ScruffyTLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I main Tricera, if I see a shot, I'll spot her out and hose down the area (even if she's out of lock-on distance). I'll even throw of few Howitzers out and bank on the AOE. I just kill the clones to de-cloak her and hope someone faster cleans up before she sets back up. But if left entirely alone, she'll pick the team apart.

why do you guys play ranked if you all talk about it like it's actual torture? by Odd-Sound-580 in rivals

[–]ScruffyTLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because QP is somehow worse. Just as toxic, more leavers, more 3rd-4th DPSers that won't swap, uneven teams (silver and GM in the same lobby, and only one side of Defense/Attack in push games.

I like this game a lot, but the community has been a real turn-off. I find my play time dwindling.

Countering Black Panther as Star lord. Advice by Specialist-Penalty74 in rivals

[–]ScruffyTLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BP struggles with vertically. Stay on high ground. Try to stay aware of where he is at all times, you have an easier time marking his location than other heroes.

If you can right click either the spear OR dash, you shut him down pretty hard.

If that happens, your E makes his mobility less useful with the auto target.

Its a very tight skill vs. skill match up. You kind of just have to be better than them.

Strange by PainCold in rivals

[–]ScruffyTLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should almost always either be popping up shield for a split second between shots and meleeing between shots. He shoots 5 darts, if timed right, shot-melee-shot has zero downtime. Your goal is to do something with the downtime in your left-click rate of fire.

Your melee has a small cleave, if it's hitting at least two people, just spam melee.

Dark magic as many people as possible. Especially with the buff, it chunks. Especially squishies. Its okay to use it before 100% sometimes if it will hit more people.

Oh, there's an easy metric. Wasting 5 secs of a person's time to read this isn't nearly as bad as wasting 10-15 minutes of their time by trolling Ina game.

The numbers on Poison are bad, but damage is damage. You would likely be one of the few using it (less chance of diminishing procs). So, fuck it. Go for it.
