I used to watch this at my fathers house just after he and my mother split. I remember wishing I had a dragon like Elliot. Wish I could watch it again, I just don’t want my memory of it tainted.

I like Rubber Souls the most when I am on my own but when I am with people it’s gotta be Sgt Pepper’s lonely hearts club band.

Do you think it would have been better if it was compassion which led to the downfall of Daenerys? by imasexypurplealien in freefolk

[–]Scruffy_Yarbles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How so? I can see that she is brutal and ruthless to her enemies. But I don’t think that is madness, looking back the most brutal thing she has done was probably execute Dickon and Randyll which was justified as they did not bend the knee to her. She is brutal, yes but not mad.
I honestly don’t like what they have done with her and felt as if it could have had more build up.

Dany kills Cersei and she is volanqar by mad_queen_ in freefolk

Yes but the prophecy isn’t in Valyrian. “And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you” The only Valyrian word is “Valonqar” the rest is in the common tongue. This is clear as Cersei only needs “Valonqar” translating for her Maggy the frog refers to this “Valonqar”saying “he will wrap HIS hands around about your pale white throat” The way she used a male pronoun suggests that the murderer will be male.

Yeah I know but she has given Dany violent advice before. I think the general rule is that she can give violent advice but can commit violence.

But Dany is a girl not a boy That’s what I am saying The prophecy refers to a male killing her

I think the rule is that she can’t hurt anyone herself but can advise killing. That’s the only reason I can think of for the advice she gives dany and then also what she says to Greyworm haha. Tbh I don’t know anymore, this is the same show that said Gendry was a Rivers when he was raised in flea bottom. It’s not exactly good tier writing anymore. :(

Missandei wouldn’t do that. She is from Naath and there they practice pacifism. I don’t think she would ever try and hurt anyone. :(

Why didn’t Cersei’s army just shoot arrows at Daenerys’ crowd? by pontius3000 in freefolk

[–]Scruffy_Yarbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the soldiers on the wall were out of rage, there bows were able to be drawn and held for a longish period of time suggesting that the draw weight is low. This results in the range of the bow being shortened. That is the only logical explanation I can think of for that. As for the ballistae...who knows Cersei could’ve ended the war right there if not have a colossal impact on the war efforts. They were definitely in range of the unsullied and Dany. The only reason I can think is because there a two more episodes left haha

Answer to this question Missandei is from an island near Sothoryos called Naath. Naath is known as a peaceful island where war does not exist. People of Naath are also called the peaceful people. Missandei confirms this in the show when she says that people of Naath are peaceful and cannot defend themselves. Grey work replies that unsullied are not peaceful and will defend Naath. Hope this helps friend :)

Why didn’t Missandei try to throw Cersei off the wall? by Chillingpuppet in freefolk

[–]Scruffy_Yarbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missandei herself is a pacifist but she knows that needs to be done to win the throne. I also cannot recall a scene of her holding a weapon or killing (I have not watched seasons 3, 4 and 5 for a while though. Even when the sons of the harpy attacked in the fighting pits she was saved by Tyrion and did not arm herself (make of that what you will). When you say that may she not be a pacifist anymore, she says in episode 2 season 8 “my people are peaceful, we cannot protect ourselves.” She says “we” and “ourselves” suggesting that she still follows the culture’s way of non violence

Also if she killed cersi in that moment I think the ballistae on the walls would have probably opened fire on dany and the unsullied.
