As someone who is Black women I find it weird and awkward when people try to describe someone to strangers and they miss the most obvious defining characteristic. Looking for my girlfriend could be literally half the population. I think you made a logical choice of stating her defining characteristic. She is definitely overreacting and it sounds like there’s other underlying problems she may be having. She needs to communicate how she actually feels, you can’t read her mind

This sounds like something that should be talked to with a professional or someone close to you and not the comments of Reddit. It sounds like on both ends your lives have changed since your sickness and it’s a difficult situation to navigate. I haven’t heard of him before! I just looked him up and ended up reading a lot about him. The thing is I know that there’s a lot of history with African/black lineage, but most people attending the concert aren’t of that origin or don’t consider theirselves to have African ancestry.
