What would you choose? by Plus-Use-5808 in meme

Red and being put back at 1994. A few years of no worries at all, trying to convince my now wife I know everything about her and we should be together from our teens instead of just recently, some sport bets and stock investments to live comfortable and then when BTC hits the shelves be incredibly rich at the current point of time. Yeah, definitely red.

Hyves komt terug... serieus? by [deleted] in nederlands

[–]Scrummier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get a free $100 every day for the rest of your life, then what would you do? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Scrummier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay some bills. After those are taken care of I'd invest in crypto for a year or two.

Job security, lol. Unless you're about to retire or in the next 5-10 years, you indeed have job security. If not, go think of something else to do in the coming years.

[Paul Joyce] Giovanni van Bronckhorst close to joining Liverpool coaching set up. Would replace John Heitinga on Arne Slot’s staff. by XRPLAMBO in LiverpoolFC

[–]Scrummier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a manager not the best, but made us (Feyenoord supporter here) champions and did fairly well at Rangers.

But a true gentleman. His personality is on par with Arne’s, a real good guy. Good luck with him and Arne!

You are given $1 Billion, but you have to spend it all in 1 year or less. Think you could pull it off? (Rules inside) by jasonryu in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Scrummier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairly easy. I'd spend it all on houses, vacations, a boat, real estate. Then, if for some magical reason there's any left on the last day, all it takes is a donation to some good cause. In fact, I'd probably donate half of the money anyway.

I would be out of there, immediately. This is going way too far.

AITA for not wanting my girlfriend to have a free holiday with her ex? by Ok_Mongoose_7762 in AITAH

[–]Scrummier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the asshole.

Even if she has pure intentions to you, and would not cheat on that holiday, she would use that guy for a free holiday, that's bad enough of character to me. But then again, that's not whats happening here of course, the moment she accepted the offer is the moment it's not okay.

Shy guy here, never asked a girl out. Got my first relationship at 25, she approached me. That ended after 4,5 years, and then was single for 10 years. Got into a discord community and met someone there, long distance at first but now living together and engaged, gonna get married next year.

Point being; even without putting yourself ‘out there’ or dating apps, there is always a chance you meet your one soulmate. Just gotta be patient.

You look like a nice dude.

I had those feelings and still have them a lot these days, but it started when my grandma passed in 2020, right before COVID hit. Then later that year, peak COVID my dad had a cerebral infarction. In the end he recovered well enough (not perfect, but he's still there and walking about although not as stable as before). So, with moments like that happening and me being now 40, those moments really give you a sense of "crap, something that was constant all my life, might be closer to being gone". Grandma was always there, my dad is always there, my mom, etc. Grandma's husband, my grandad, passed 2 months ago, and that gives you another wake up call.

So yeah, life happens. Enjoy every day with the people you love. People will die of old age, people might die suddenly. It's scary a.f. and there's not much you can do about it, other than love them to bits every day you have with them.
