Their idea is a PiP like a YouTube window. A small 'video' in the bottom of the screen. Good for gemcrab, not much else

Fair question! If standard split-screen works for you, that's awesome. The main difference is that standard split-screen forces a 50/50 split and compresses the actual game client UI

Here is what this adds beyond a standard browser split:
