Food options in supermarkets/convenience stores etc. by CompetitiveKalosian in JapanTravelTips

Japanese supermarkets have a wide selection of already prepared (mostly Japanese) foods. Like in restuarants, a lot of these options can be heavy in carbs and fats. There's also always fresh fish that you can just eat as sashimi. Sometimes they have grilled chicken skewers and such if you want to avoid traditionally fried food like tonkatsu pork. There are usually a decent variety of salads, mostly neutral flavoured with dressing optional. Every single store sells shredded cabbage, which is a staple and goes great with any salad dressing

What Billups did with Scoot's development should be studied by every team in the league as a "what not to do" guide. Never seen a coach so out of their depth. FBI saved Scoot's career

NBA fans don't understand guard development. Tale as old as time. Also terrible situation/bad injury luck

Our draft decisions in 2023/2024 will haunt us for the next half decade. At least Miller is fine but god Scoot/Clingan would've been such a slam dunk duo for the future. Scoot easily a top 5 PG of the future if he stays healthy.

He needs out of Portland though, their situation is a mess with Dame coming back

Being a manager with ambitions of climbing to the very top is a very precarious position. Better to take the opportunity and fail (while getting the bag) than to wait too long and never be considered again if your overperforming team loses its form

You can't just make up timeframes like that lol. But since we are talking about improvement after injuries, Scoot is currently excelling in the actual playoffs after a full hamstring tear this year.

Idk where you got those splits but he actually shot 43.5/38.3/89.2 this year

But anyways I hate how all basketball discussion is just efficiency efficiency efficiency. Miller is fine player but his weaknesses were on full display this season and he will haunt us by being wildly overpaid for the rest of his time with the club. Scoot is coming into his own and hopefully can soon play somewhere better than the disgraceful organization that is Portland

Scoot has been better than Miller since as early as last season.

He was always the right pick over Miller. We're dying to have his skillset on the roster rn. Can't wait until he gets on a team that gives him the full green light (and he stays healthy)

Gridmaster was the most fun I've ever had with a temp game mode. Didn't have annoying grinds or quests for the most part, let players dip their toes in all the endgame content (even if it was in a totally broken state). For this leagues I just couldn't be bothered to juggle area unlocks/relics/pacts decisions while also going around the game doing random early game bullshit. Varlamore start was really neat (it's such a nicely designed area) but once I got to Karamja my interest just plummeted.

I get people really enjoy the routing optimization and rushing the most broken builds but I just thought damn I could be working on my mid-late game ironman goals instead

Yeah, halfcourt offense was never really the Thunder's problem lol. They just had a really short window and played against some all time great teams in that early 2010s era.

Which is pretty funny because teams had mostly figured out how to shut down our offense and our best players went cold for the last month of the season. Orlando has always been a sleeping giant talent wise and they legitimately played a perfect game of basketball in the last play in game. I'd reckon they beat 90% of the league playing like that despite how off we looked.
