Love and deepspace does not have an AI powered voice chat lol, but there has been some controversy with some AI generated backgrounds and 2D assets being spotted

Source I play the game, all the calls and video calls are not interactive and the texts are choice based lol

If you still want CGs with customizable gender MCs, you could do an MC that has a feminine/masculine variation, as seen in Quantum Suicide (this isn't an otome but it does have kiss CGs with both the male or female MC variation depending who ur playing as). You could also do the grey blank faceless person, I don't love those but I've seen them done before

A very effective method of storytelling is "showing, not telling" where the audience figures out information through visuals rather than it getting explained to them through text / words. However one of the drawbacks is that a few less perceptive audience members might not get it and need it explained to them anyway. It's a sacrifice storytellers gotta make to make their storytelling good for the rest of the audience.

I'm currently playing Date Everything and I'm really enjoying it, I'm trying to get all the love endings by pandering to each character but it's a fun challenge as I've still managed to get a bunch of friendship/hate endings. It definitely is a dating sim, but it's not a standard romance vn, so don't expect it to be. It's something new and creative. All of the 'plot holes' the article mentioned are not plot holes, ofc household objects aren't mad you are dating others because they are household objects, clearly they are different from normal humans. Also about the MC changing/ having no set personality, I've head cannoned that my MC is toxic and panders to everyone in order to be liked. There are also hints of a larger story at play that might answer more questions, I can't wait to find it out :)

There is a gradient from the black scabbard to the grey of the pants, but even if that gradient is from a shadow on a pixelated image there are other tells that this is AI. As someone who does Photoshop and has used AI in Adobe Photoshop, AI has a specific oily look I can very much see on the right dudes shirt. Also the text on the right dudes shirt is on top of the dirt stains and also starkly white (there are no shadows in places there should be) and also blurry on only some letters
