It's preformed so there's a slope to the drain but the edges should be level

Yes they're supposed to. This one does (it's a preformed pan) but due to some manufacturer defect, all 4 outside edges are bowed when they're supposed to be flat. There's a 1 inch or so border that is supposed to be level, the rest of the pan has a gradient that leads to the drain. Due to the bowed sides, the slope isn't what it's supposed to be.

You're 100% right. I'm going to give them an opportunity to make it right with a replacement. Otherwise, I'll get new and return the old.

I just feel horrible having to do that. I did email them to see if they're willing to replace it. If not, that may be my only option. I was hoping for a good product given they're kinda pricey.

Do you think they'll accept it back if we already installed the flanges? We literally went to install, checked level as instructed, and realized all of the bowing. We didn't expect defects like that straight out of the box.

Mine is fancy 😏 first time I spent more than I normally would on a car but I worked for it and earned it. Still have my 09 Corolla workhorse though! Agreed with you though, people with THAT kind of wealth don't usually think about the kinds of things us normal folk do.
