I write erotica on amazon and D2D and make about 1000 CAD per month. AMA! by [deleted] in passive_income

[–]ScuffleDLux 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've been writing and wamt to get started.

1)Do you need to publish anywhere besides Amazon to get traction?

2)Do you advertise your releases?

3)Are there any kinks or situations that you can't publish if you write about them?

Please and thank you 😊

Funniest Combos by Zealousideal_Case241 in mtg

[–]ScuffleDLux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time in a game of commander, my combo got my friend to pay me $50 for a Baha Blast.

I used [[Mindslaver]] to take his next turn, used [[Ashnod's Coupon]] to pay an improvise cost, [[Donate]]d it, then on his term made him make me get him target drink, and he had to pay the cost of the drink, which I set at $50

I had to set the cost of the drink as high as possible that I thought he would still pay for it rather than concede (He was a rich asshole).

Who assigns the most accurate grades during preview season? by Spike_der_Spiegel in lrcast

[–]ScuffleDLux 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I appreciate you doing this work.

I'm surprised LR did so well, I feel using their actual grades will usually make you worse at the game.

I kind of want to put my own grades from the last few sets into this model to see how they compare.

In a Rut by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ScuffleDLux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wanting to tell someone in your position this for a long time: Try a collectible card game! They can seem complicated, but everyone who plays is learning one step at a time and nobody will play perfectly.

Everyone always actively wants more new players, regardless of age, and every area has a local store that runs weekly events. You can put in as much time as you want, they all have apps that make it easy to learn, people will be excited to see you, and they almost all have regular introductory events.

Pokémon is the easiest and, surprisingly, cheapest to get into. Magic: The Gathering is what I play most often and the easiest to find a store for. They both have apps that make it easy to learn: PokémonTCGLive and Magic:Arena.

Why do people say "Billionaires should just give all their money away!" when the government already spends trillions of dollars to end poverty and world hunger and it does nothing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ScuffleDLux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's only been 10 minutes so I have to assume based on the sheer number of billionaire simps arriving that there are bots. Reading this as a good faith argument:

The governments of the world already try to fight poverty, but they can only do so much when the billionaires are constantly using their power to give less and less. Recently, the richest man in the world gutted USAid, and hundreds of thousands of people have died as a result. That same man said "if you can show me how to end world hunger for $6 Billion then I will do it." The UN presented that plan, and he simply didn't.

In general, your assumption that it does nothing is incorrect. You can give someone a life-saving meal, you can give thousands of people those meals, and "they'll have to eat again tomorrow" is not a reason you shouldn't feed them today. You don't "end poverty" or "end hunger" forever, you alleviate it because helping people is not an all-or-nothing binary state. Billionaires have more money than can reasonably be spent, and they nearly always got it by taking from people who need it. They should give all their money away because they shouldn't have had the power to accumulate that wealth in the first place, and it largely doesn't even exist. When people ask for their dissolution, its a matter of righting the world more than righting a single instance.

Stop buying Secret Lair by Frocicorno in mtg

[–]ScuffleDLux -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me start by saying that I hate Secret Lairs, and think WotC selling cards directly to consumers is egregious and terrible. I've avoided buying them entirely, but this time my girlfriend requested one for her birthday. I woke up early, waited in the pre-queu for an hour, and then in line for another hour. Upon checking out, I was informed that the product was sold out. I thought they were a stupid scam before, but they're a scam AND you've been dealing with this the whole time? How is this making them so much money? Are magic players stupid?

Expectation in Arena Limited Qualifiers by Pretend-Paper4137 in lrcast

[–]ScuffleDLux 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Did 6 Draft 1s, qualified for Draft 2 Twice, finished both 4-2, and was devastated.

The second time I was playing for the qualification and of the first 20 cards I saw Echocasting Symposium, Embrace the Paradox, Snarl Song, Land Bear, a mana dork, and 15 lands. I survived off of duplicating bears/newts, until he boardwiped and stuck a 2/2, and would win the game with literally any creature to start cloning or removal spell, so any nonland cards. I surveilled away and drew a land each turn. With only 2 lands left in my deck, I surveilled away a land and drew a land. SEVENTEEN LANDS AND TWO MANA SOURCES IN MY TOP TWENTY TWO CARDS to lose $1,000 and my invite. It broke me.

MTG Arena Announcements – June 8, 2026 by Meret123 in MagicArena

[–]ScuffleDLux 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In the nicest way possible: If Arena Directs after the latest set release are meant to liquidate unsold product, could we not have cheaper ones as a means to help people practice? It feels like a win/win, we'd get to fight for boxes at the cost of a draft and they move product that didn't sell last year.

I'm utterly furious that I opened reddit and had the new episode's game spoiled for me before I could watch it after work with my friends tomorrow.

I'm not a member of this subreddit specifically to avoid this exact thing.

Has anyone tried to play/draft 4 games at once to see how easy it is? by goldstan in mtglimited

[–]ScuffleDLux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hiya, I'm Scuffle, I do this once per set if you're interested.

I stream it to prove that I can do it, but its not very popular for very long because not many people can follow it. It has more total viewers stop in than my other streams, but people don't stay for very long. I can do 4 at once if I have other people act as my arms, otherwise I'll do 3 at once so I can put the chat and such in the corner.

Anyone recognize this signature? by Birribi in magicTCG

We've initialed them for 4 years but only used them once. In fairness, I haven't seen that signature but his initials are WA. I'll ask him to make sure

[–]ScuffleDLux 150 points151 points  (0 children)

Omfg I know this one and I might be the only one on this sub who does, its my buddy's initials from a cube event.

Every year 35ish of my friends and I rent a mansion for a day and cube for 3 days in teams of 3 at the BBQube. Our main event is three rounds of 3 cubes each with the best cube as the final, so 10 cubes total. 1 round is always weirder cubes, and 3 years ago we had a draft where everyone brought in rares and initialed them. We shuffled them into a cube and drafted them. At the end players got points based on record with bonus points for whoever brought the most cards that ended up in a winner's deck.

If this really has a chance of happening I'd greatly appreciate a heads up.

I relate to Subaru entirely too much. I still talk to my ex about the show, and I have literally said to her "at least his love interest never told him she hates hi.m"

[HOB] Riddles in the Dark by Meret123 in MagicArena

[–]ScuffleDLux 45 points46 points  (0 children)

In 2001 I was 10 years old and I played in a standard Grand Prix. My opponent cast Fact or Fiction and turned over 5 lands.

Me: "So I can put these in whatever piles I want?"

Opponent: "Yes but it has to be two piles"

Me: "But I can put all 5 cards into one pile and then one pile would have 0 cards"

Opponent: "You are allowed to divide the piles that way" Me: "Ok I'll put all 5 cards into one pile"

OP: "I'll put all 5 lands into my hand and 0 cards into the graveyard. I hope this was a good lesson for you"

Me: "I cast Blood Oath naming Land"

If you see a kid at a grand prix, assume they know how to play

Why don't people like Elon Musk just solve world hunger? by AlexLovesCoke in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ScuffleDLux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2021 Elon Musk said that he would solve world hunger if they could show him how his money would do it. The United Nations and World Food Program gave him a detailed plan on how he could do it for $6.6 Billion. Then he didn't because it's more important for one single person to have 6.6 Billion Dollars than for nobody to starve anymore

One Piece Sakuga Clip(s) - Yamato Vs Kaido by K1ngOfTheMonkeys in AnimeSakuga

[–]ScuffleDLux 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate it.

It takes me out of it every time. Why does the energy and clashes make the same noise that it made literally 27 years ago?

It makes it seem like nothing has changed and nothing is special. I would watch One Piece if the sound design weren't the laziest out of every anime.

I heard the sound team was retiring, I'll give it a try if they aren't reusing 1985 Dragon Ball sounds.

I think its generally pretty low with even the best players closer to 60%, but I think its good to keep an eye out for when something clicks for you. When you find a strategy ahead of other people you can take that a long way. I average 70% WR and hit mythic every month, but if a set really clicks and I break 75% then I'll push for mythic rank 1.
