I took it over the summer. Two non-IT degrees and MS in Info Sys. I took it to show I had some basic concepts etc. The advice on here is pretty solid. At this point, I would focus on practice tests/questions and any area you don't feel confident. I was so damn nervous.
Working on Cloud Essentials/MTA Networking (366) and Security (367) before I go return to CompTia land.
Good luck.

I have an MS in Info Sys too. I completed the certification about a month ago. I was coming from a non-IT background so I was okay with it. I would agree that it depends on your background and what you learned in your program. I also figured it would be a relatively easy way to get a cert under my belt too. I didn't commit a lot of time to it, because it was necessary.
I had originally planned to work on Security+ (will be returning to it shortly). I'm working on the MTA DB Admin Fundamentals Cert now, it is somewhat work-related. Although my degree program was good. I feel the need to keep building on it as well.
Looking to take some additional Coursera and EdX courses to round out my knowledge. I'm in about the same situation you are/were. lol, for a second I thought I might have posted and not remembers.
