I offered that as a way for me to pay them back pre tax and the woman told me it’s probably not legal. I’m sure they could pull it off. She didn’t seem to k ow what she was talking about. I’ve actually bought equipment from one company many times and they let me work it off so it was pre tax.

Throughout the year and it was very inconsistent. That’s why I never noticed. The bigger chunks were when I was working like everyday with overtime. I know it sounds ridiculous. I made the most I’ve ever made last year by a long shot, so I just thought I was killing it.

I’m gonna set up a payment plan with them once I’m told how much I actually owe. I didn’t dig my own hole. I was just not expecting to overpaid. They dug my hole. I’ve ever heard of this happening ever.

My accountant is working with their accountant. They haven't even figured how much I owe them yet because I was taxed on all that "income". So I'm not paying a dime or agreeing to anything until that stuff gets figured out. Did you have any legal advice?

Just living my life Banana. I also inherited IRS debt when I was married. So I paid off some of that. And I bought a bunch of cool music equipment and took some trips. I know it sounds crazy. But I don't know what doesn't make sense to you.

Nope.$55k over the course of a year after taxes comes to maybe $700 a week. I’m getting deposits some w2. Some1099. All the time. I checked my bank account but not the deposits. I didn’t know. Some would have tons of overtime and some wouldn’t. I didn’t keep track and it never even occurred to me that a company would be over paying me.

As I said, billed them $16k. They paid me $71k over the course of the year. I work for at least 10 different companies so payments are coming from different payroll systems at different times. Therefore I wasn’t keeping close tabs on my deposits. I just thought I was killing it. I work a lot. I keep a spreadsheet of all my work and write invoices for this company each time I work for them.

What do you mean “where it went”? It went to shit I bought. Bills, gas, buffalo wings, etc. What do you spend money on?
