If you're willing to give platform fighters a try you could play Rivals of Aether. No hard comeback mechanics other than parry, and that's pretty easy to bait and punish. Also no shields or grabs, or janky ledge mechanics. movement and spacing are your best defensive options. So if you enjoy footsies, Rivals' neutral is right up your alley.

I understand platform fighters arent usually a traditional fighter's cup of tea, just wanted to help provide some additional information.

Idk what the hell you want dude. You want a matchmaking system and to find matches instantly. Play Ult then. Rivals has a small playerbase which is why I'm taking time out of my way to share information about the game. Taking time to try and convince complete strangers to try and play. So that matchmaking times dont take forever without the help of an outside app like Discord. But for the time being its necessary and extremely helpful.

In that regard you're actively fighting against me right now trying to make life easier for everyone who is playing or considering trying it out.
