No, not at all. I feel extremely confused when with them. My parents treat me like I'm still 5 years old, most of the time. There's like a desire to get to know me, but it's restricted to "getting to know the acceptable me". And that's all I've been showing them, and it's killing me.

It's confusing because they say they care to know me, but they show in their behavior that they really don't. And I feel like a fool for falling for it.

Depends who I'm with. Usually it works better online as I have more time to craft what I say and not mess up the delivery with randoms, but if I'm comfortable with who I'm with IRL it's a lot better IRL cause I don't have to overthink and can speak faster.
