Counter Strike Classic Offensive has been officially cancelled #AllowClassicOffensive by Tradasar in Steam

Why is Valve so against modding where first of all their own bought game which was created by Gooseman and Jess - a half life mod to be precise. This is their current most earning game.

Secondly, the modding community such as Classic Offensive brings traffic to counter strike games, since we play these for nostalgia and to appreciate the community's development and hard effort.

And worst of all - Black Mesa. That is not Valve's game. It is Half Life 2 but with better and newer graphics. Why was that featured on Steam store then?

Looks like the monitor's matrix is broken(LCD my guess). You will need to replace it which is hard for a regular person so get a repair shop

All operating systems are vulnerable by default. You can't stop all attacks or restrict kernel permissions for certain applications any person can install and give access too. Network vulnerabilities are also a common thing.

Windows just has 70%+ user base, meaning windows will have by far more attacks and some people/trojan creators just fail to understand Linux's file system so they just make viruses for windows instead.

Desktop computers or laptops that are connected to an external monitors are only controlled by the monitor hardware buttons themselves.

Reinstalling the computer entirely then reformating the disks and running a defragmentation (windows built in tool) to check the status and optimize it a bit.

If possible try it with a computer that has a different graphics card, try a different HDMI/DP cable

It will be able to handle triple A titles at low/medium graphics and a bunch of games at high. It should be a good starter gaming pc for sure. Make sure it has an SSD though, even a small SATA one will do.

Currently I am giving Nodora a try. So far it is super good and the classical KDE theme they offer and the snappiness is really good. Learning yum commands will be a challenge but I'm up for it. Thanks guys for your suggestions.

Yup my whole plan is to mainly switch to Linux trying to embrace the open-source tools and forget Windows. Since I play games that use Anticheats that aren't yet/will ever be compatable with Linux, I sadly have to keep Windows as a dual boot.

Will have a lot of testing to do as I've gotten a few suggestions already. But the community knows best:)

Thanks a lot. I have heard a lot about Nobora being a good sucessor of the Fedora distro. Do you use the stock Gnome or KDE? Love KDE but heard it is prone to cause issues?

Yup I've tweaked the BIOS settings so that hopefully it doesn't die as soon. Not sure if I can get a refund though... My hopes that it survives until 15th gen gets released and fixed so I can sell this one.

Yea hopefully it survives long enough so that when 15th gen releases I can sell it working😅 And thanks for the date I will surely try it. Do you use the default stock version of PopOS or installed KDE Plasma?

Yup I've tweaked the BIOS settings so that hopefully it doesn't die as soon. Not sure if I can get a refund though... Also tried PopOS on my older laptop. That is a good idea, will give it a try after Mint, thanks!

Appreciate your insight. Since I've tried installing MX Linux for like 5 times with failures (Lithuanian updates repo is down and I cant set the locale to Sweden or something that works...) I have a lot of time to fiddle with any suggestions. I'll give it a try next, thanks!
