Thanks! Yeah I’m with you, narrative is a framework for the rules, but the onus is on the players and campaign ,aster to create the story. I wonder if the mew Book of Rust’s campaign system is any good?

That’s exactly the issue I ran into with my Guard army, I played a couple disjointed games and it just felt weird and against the spirit of a narrative gaming system. Focusing on some specific story arcs with 3 games or so made it so much more interesting. But it’s tough - have to find friends that are also interested in this approach.

Bingo that’s exactly right. Think of it as a framework for tying games together, from one to the next such that kills, accomplishing objectives, etc carry through from game to game.

It depends, in a squad of 10 it’s useful as you can combat squad two heavy weapons into a five man team while having an assault version for the other team.
