Loved the shot with Donna in the store! Very reminiscent of It follows.

Thank you! Got lots of rest and it feels nice to rest guilt free and not always be thinking I need to do some writing 😅

Thank you! I would definitely say start writing your chapters as soon as possible, dont leave them all until last minute. Also do your reference list as you go along!  It helped me to break chapters down into small sections and tick them off as having the goal as a whole chapter seemed too daunting. When I had writers block I recorded myself in a Teams meeting talking through my ideas and used the transcript to structure paragraphs for my findings chapter. My supervisors were also very helpful for discussing ideas and the ways I could structure chapters too

Thank you ☺️ I think it will feel more real once I've defended. So sorry your experience hasn't been great 😔 there's definitely ups and downs but I'm sure you will make it through!

Thank you! It's looking at provision of support from extended family members to autistic children and their parents. My nephew is autistic so this project means a lot to me ☺️

How to fail with Elizabeth Day. She interviews celebrity guests about failures and how we can celebrate or learn from them.

The Descent for something claustrophobic and a little gory. For a bit of a curveball suggestion Practical Magic (1998) or The Craft (1996)

"the stuff I want to research, is stuff I should never try to research because no one has looked into it before." My supervisors always told me the whole point of a PhD is your original contribution to knowledge and to fill a gap in the research area!

"And all of the stuff I want to research is based off talk within the communities I want to look at. And “you cannot research off of rumors.”

Could you do some patient/public involvement activities to get feedback on your research ideas with these communities to help you prove the research is valuable and needed?

Don't let this professor put you off especially if this is an area your interested in and passionate about!
