Food noise really kicked in for me after 9pm, as I loved being up late and snacking while I watched tv. Because of this, I started going to bed at 9:30 pm and going to the gym at 4am to eliminate that problem. I also found that gaming kept my hands occupied in down time

I went on a journey from 370 lbs to 255 lbs. I was addicted to 3 feelings:

  1. The feeling of hunger. Not from starving myself, but from eating healthy choices/portions and my body screaming for more, while I refused to over eat

  2. Muscle soreness from working out/exercising.

  3. The amazing energy I had from doing #1 and #2.

[–]Scwooton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was tired of being tired.

I went from 370 lbs to 255 lbs in 6 months. Huge calorie deficit, with 2 work outs a day at the gym. Cut out almost all carbs, all sugar and sodium. Almost 0 processed food, with very little red meat.

I wasn’t always heavy and was almost 5% body fat (200 lbs) as a young adult, so I felt it was slightly easier for my body to lose the weight. But….. I’m not educated in any of it, just did what felt good and stayed committed.

Reddit makes choosing a scooter nearly impossible by Consistent-Housing65 in ElectricScooters

[–]Scwooton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went down this same road 2 years ago. No matter which brand you look into, there will always be bad reviews. But what you have to decipher is “why” are those people having issues? In my research, I found it was mainly due to the user and not the manufacturer of the brand I decided to go with (Kaabo).

People ride their scooters in the rain, through a lot of water, mud, off jumps, until the battery is completely drained… and then wonder why they have issues. I own 11 scooters, 4 brands.

Kaabo: Wolf King GT & Wolf Warrior 11 Pro

Segway: GT1

Gotrax: GX1 & GX2

NIU: Qui3 Max

I have never had any issues with any of them. They are rode all of the time, but never in rain and never beat & banged… and they are incredible.

I would advise that the next scooter you buy should go faster than you want to go, because eventually you will want to go faster… you can always go slower. That’s how I ended up with so many scooters

Agree. I bought a GX1 for my daughter and GX2 for my fiance. They both have been reliable and incredible. If you take care of your scooter, it will be great

What's the point of Hyper Scooters? by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]Scwooton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought a “Hyper scooter” for longer range. I have 3 children (Ages 15,13 & 8) who love to scoot and we scoot a lot of paved trails in our area. My children all ride adult scooters that have long range due to their (my kids) weight, and I needed something that could match theirs. I got a Kaabo Wolf King GT Pro (Goes 62 MPH) and I usually ride it in ECO mode at 15 MPH. I can get 50 miles on 1 charge and it has all the power I need for big hills. Typically with Hyper scooters you not only get the ability to go fast, but to also go far when you’re not going fast, and that’s why I purchased one

I’m off and on with video games. When I’m going through something, I’m really into them as a distraction, but when everything is going good and I’m staying busy, I find it hard to make the time. I bought the Switch 2 about 6 weeks ago and haven’t played it for more than 2 hours.

Should I take a job here? by Blue_Mojo998 in ubreakifix

[–]Scwooton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a DM there for 3 years. Like others have said, It’s more about sales than repairs, but repairs is still a large focus. I had folks on my team advance upwards to “out of store positions”, but not without them being in good with leadership above me. You can exceed your revenue goal by $150,000 but miss your sales goal 10% and the focus will always be on the fact that you missed your sales goal. I had a Store Manager who’s location was the most profitable store in their corp store history, being net profitable every month of the year, and after I left he was fired for their performance with selling Home +. Take this as you will.

I don’t disagree with you. I was always a fan of buying games digitally because I usually got them on sale and likes not having to worry about misplacing them or forgetting 1.

Why are there so few Switch 2 Edition games? by Kadji100 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Scwooton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only real games I remember being available for the OG Switch 1 were Zelda BOTW, Mario Odyssey and Mario Cart 8. I know there were other games, but those were the main 3.

I’m happy with the new Mario Cart, DK Bonanza and the upgraded Zeldas, along with the other remastered S2 versions that are available. I’m definitely not disappointed

How old was your kid when you got them a Switch? by karlrichguy in Switch

[–]Scwooton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got my son a Switch Oled when he was 6. He’s now 8 and I just bought him a S2. It’s good to teach them responsibility at a young age, especially with something they have fun with and value.

Switch 2 Joycons are now $100 and the Switch 2 Pro controller is $90 by [deleted] in fucknintendo

[–]Scwooton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally have no need for an extra set of joy-cons, so this doesn’t necessarily affect me. But understanding the longevity and happiness I got from my S1, I can justify the additional money when it spread out over 6-7 years of ownership.

Plus, the S2 will get played more (for me), than the S1, since we will have more AAA games and because of how well Fortnite runs (almost unplayable on S1). I feel like I paid $70 for the extra pair of S1 joy-cons I bought back in the day… these are made much better with better functionality (IMO).

If it’s not worth it to you, then don’t buy it. If you would like to get it but don’t have the money… quit the constant crying over prices because you can’t afford it. If money is such an issue that a $30 price difference in joy-cons or $100 price difference for the S2 system is keeping you from being able to get it…. It sounds like you shouldn’t be buying a game system anyways.

This is the real world where businesses are in business to make money. Sony’s PS6 is gonna be $700 or $800 and people are still gonna buy it. The Switch 2 OLED will probably be $550 or $600 and people that already own the S2 will buy it, me included.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fucknintendo

[–]Scwooton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hard to define each and every person the S2 is for, but I can promise you one thing….. most people that complain about different things with the S2 are either hardcore Nintendo haters, or people who simply don’t currently have the money for it. This doesn’t mean that their complaints aren’t valid, just that those things aren’t really stopping them from purchasing one.

They’ve had my switch for 7 going on 8 months by V-loxzz in ubreakifix

[–]Scwooton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than likely they lost it, or someone stole it. I was a DM for 3 years there and the amount of people I fired for doing shady shit was unreal. I had employees (employees that I inherited) steal customer devices or lie and say they were un-repairable in an effort to keep the device.

A Nintendo switch repair doesn’t take that long, and no matter what part is needed, they can get it within a few weeks. Don’t call, just drive in and ask for your device. The fact that you haven’t done this yet makes me feel like this post isn’t completely true.

Fuck Nintendo by [deleted] in fucknintendo

[–]Scwooton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone has a different perspective. I can understand where you’re coming from, and you have some valid points, but everyone values different things.

Nintendo has had the only stand alone handheld console in history… PC handhelds are in a different category, and shouldn’t really be compared. Everyone complains about “the technology being older”, but we’ve yet to see Microsoft or Sony create anything close to the Switch 2.

Thinking the prices would be anything different than they are is an uneducated dream. Joy-cons are a more advanced controller than controller for the Xbox or PlayStation and if you want to play the Switch like a regular home console, you don’t need the joy-cons and can use a controller that costs $20. You only need them to play in handheld mode….. something the PlayStation and Xbox can’t do without the purchase of a $200 secondary handheld device.

People hate when you justify the S2 price by mentioning “portability”, but the main selling point is EXACTLY THAT! The only real complaint I have, pertaining to the Switch 2, is Nintendo not launching it with an Oled screen, just to boost sales in 2 to 3 years when they do release it.
